We recently connected with Beorht Lewinski and have shared our conversation below.
Beorht, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
Lol well I actually do have a regular job. Not one but three jobs. I work as a waiter in a restaurant and I also work from home, Adding to that these past couple of months I’ve been working back to back from New York City to Connecticut. As a server my schedule changes on a weekly basis, some jobs usually give you specific days off in a row which stays the same during the week. but mine is always doing flips and ticks I’m never off on a particular day and I work either mornings shifts or night shift we call those lunches and dinners. Throughout the week whatever day I’m off at least at this job i head to Connecticut for set work. Days of filming scenes, shooting photoshoots, brand ambassador work (product promotions), fashion shows, fittings, table reads, management meetings etc. when I’m home over the weekend I do hours of paper work for my at home job which is a virtual job for a tech company. I don’t have any free time to myself. If you asked me to pick one of these I couldn’t because they all kinda chip in to support my Financial well being. I’m working hard to achieve my dreams and conquer my goals yes it comes with a price but I’m a hustler. I don’t like working for anyone I need to be my own boss! To answer the question yes I am happy doing what I love.
Beorht, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I know I said something similar in my last interview. “ MY NAME IS BEORHT AND I AM THE NEXT BIG THING!”
So I started acting when I was 9, my first audition was for a subway and Hershey’s commercial when I lived in Florida. I’m the youngest in my family. One thing that sets me apart from everybody else is the fact that I actually love myself. Might sound cliché but it’s true can’t nobody make you question who you really are when you’ve already proven that to yourself. Know your worth, then add tax. I love spending time with myself. Even though I’m an outgoing individual I crave alone time I feel like it keeps me sane. Feels therapeutic. The things I’m proud of this year is how far I’ve come and how much I’ve achieved. My goal is……
(blows out candles) it’s a wish upon a star, the whole world will know it when it happens!
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
When I said I love my alone time I really meant it. I hate books Well I don’t hate them but their not my favorite thing in the world. But when I do read It’s quite interesting. There’s two books I hold dearly to my heart because of the lessons the book teaches taught me. The first one follows the story of a Black teenager named Steve Harmon, who is on trial for murder. He’s basically telling us the story but it’s the way he paints a picture for you to understand exactly what he’s trying to say. The book is called ‘Monster By Walter Dean Myers’
“The main themes in Monster are omnipresent violence, the dehumanizing effects of racial prejudice, the injustice of the justice system, and filmmaking and real life.”
The next book is called ‘A Raisin In The Sun’ a play by Lorraine Hansberry originally published in March 11 of 1959.
The story follows a black family living on the south side of Chicago in the 1950’s. There’s an insurance check for 10,000 coming to the family known as the Youngers. Every member of the family seems to have an idea on what to do with the money now I’m not going to go too in-depth but you figure it out for yourself. A big sum of money coming to a group of people what do you think will happen? Read it and find it.
As much as most of us love catching up on celebrity gossip and the newest trends you should take some time to educate yourself on more important things beyond society being open minded is a wonderful insight to the world of wonders.
I wouldn’t say I have an old soul but sometimes I feel like it I like watching and reading meaningful things.
I’ve seen 6.8k episode and 774 movies.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
When somebody tells you “my life turned out this way because of you” I think that’s the most rewarding aspect of being an individual in the public eye. As a public figure everyone expects you to be perfect, a role model, an example. but yet they forget you’re not their parents. Yes of course you want to inspire and give hope but people sometimes forget that you’re also just a human being who deals with human problems just like the rest of the world. My personality stays the same no matter who I’m with or where I’m at. Even though it isn’t your job don’t forget that your presence on this earth is an influence whether to your family or to millions of people it’s matters. Became the change you want to see in the world.
