We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ben Antelis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ben below.
Ben, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
When I was a student at the LA College of Music, I was broke and playing on instruments that were literally falling apart. My mentor saw that struggle and offered me a custom drum set for $500—but the real act of kindness was letting me pay it off in tiny increments over 18 months. That gesture made me feel seen and cared for exactly when I needed it most.
That same mentor later put my name in for an audition with a global pop star. I did indeed get the gig, and our first show was at Arthur Ashe Stadium. I was only 23, and I felt like I had finally ‘made it.’ Because of that experience, I believe kindness is a professional necessity. It’s why I stay so open to meeting up-and-comers today—I know firsthand that one person’s belief in you can change the entire trajectory of your life.

Ben, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve always viewed the music industry as a 360-degree experience because I started in the creative trenches. As a lifelong musician, producer, and songwriter, I spent my early career as a drummer and musical director, getting to work with artists like David Archuleta, Ricky Martin, and Tori Kelly. That firsthand experience—knowing how to write a hook, produce a track, and lead a stage—is the foundation of my work today.
After moving from New York to LA to study the business from the ground up, I founded WIT Music. We are a music company providing comprehensive artist management, administration, and artist and social media consulting. What sets me apart is that I don’t just ‘manage’—I speak the creator’s language. Whether I’m acting as a business partner for MILCK, or managing and developing artists like Wilmah and the comedy music duo Griefcat, I view every career through both a creative and a commercial lens.
Because of my background as a producer and songwriter, I’ve been able to fuel major ad campaigns for brands like Netflix, HBO, Nissan, and Pepsi, as well as many TV shows and films globally.
I am most proud of my ability to scale an independent vision into commercial success without losing the artist’s soul. At WIT Music, we are builders. We specialize in taking an artist’s brand from the ground up—developing the strategy, the sound, the administrative foundation, and the narrative until it is impossible to ignore. I’m a trusted partner because I’ve been in their shoes, and I know exactly what it takes to turn a creative spark into a sustainable, global career.
As a bonus, I still often get the opportunity to play live with some of my dearest friends, Spencer Ludwig and Soulfarm

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
scams and money laundering

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
bring out the best of the artist, make them see it for themselves and keep them on track. Keep them healthy and make sure they balance creating, story telling (content), and make sure they have fun while doign it.
