We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Becca Day. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Becca below.
Becca, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope my legacy will be that I made an impact, big or small, in all my clients’ lives. There are a million trainers and nutritionists out there so I strive to become actual friends with each of my clients to better serve them fitness-wise and in everyday life.

Becca, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Becca Hanifee (Day). I have had major success in Olympic lifting as a nationally ranked lifter, CrossFit Games athlete, bodybuilder, powerlifting, and strongman competitions. I’ve always been into sports coming from a collegiate athletic background. I started training individuals when I was in high school and kept at it to this day. My major focus is nutrition, and I have developed my business: BodyByBecca. I help individuals from all walks of life achieve their goals one step at a time while helping them transform their lives as a whole.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I first got out of college, I had a corporate job. I hated it and felt like I was wasting away. I got an opportunity to open my gym so I jumped on it. I had nothing to my name but my dog, pig, and car. We all slept in my car at my gym until I saved enough money to build out a small room in the facility. As awful and embarrassing as it sounds, I loved it. It made me resilient and REALLY appreciate a bed.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my audience via Instagram when it was pretty new. Not a lot of women were posting lifting videos, unlike today, so I posted videos of myself lifting extremely heavy weights that went viral. I got lucky because being a strong female was becoming cool so I essentially was one of the first to break the barrier.
