We recently connected with Bea and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Bea, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
How silly outfit boards turned into a business
At some point you get consumed by life. Daily tasks, work, chores, appointments.. and in all that chaos you try to automate as many things as you can. You get a rumba to vacuum the house, an egg cooker to save you 10 minutes in the morning… It just feels like a race every day. And that’s something that hit hard me after uni. Amongst other things I stopped putting any effort into what I was wearing. Most of the time it was the same variation of that one decent outfit just a different sweater every day. There was just no time to look for inspiration or scour the internet for that one jacket I saw someone wearing on Instagram. And after a while I realised I’m not the only one with this problem.
So I took 30 minutes out of my day – usually late at night- to plan out some outfits. It didn’t take long for my friends to notice my style had a glow up so I made a groupchat on telegram and shared my outfit boards with them. After a while I decided to post them on instagram & TikTok to maybe inspire someone else that’s simply too busy oor maybe just needs some styling advice and build a small little fashion community. I never could have imagined back then that it was the best decision I would ever make.

Bea, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
As a virtual stylist, I provide a range of services designed to transform the way my clients perceive and express themselves through fashion. Whether it’s helping them build a versatile wardrobe, offering personalized style consultations, or curating outfits for special occasions, I’m here to assist them every step of the way.
My main focus is on solving the problem of confidence and self-expression through fashion. I believe that everyone deserves to feel amazing in their clothes, and that’s where I come in. I work closely with my clients to understand their unique tastes, body types, and lifestyles to create a style that’s uniquely theirs.
What sets me apart from others is my dedication to the virtual aspect of styling. I leverage technology to bring my services to clients worldwide. Through virtual lookbooks, and an extensive online presence, I make the stylist-client interaction seamless and accessible, no matter where they’re located.
I’m incredibly proud of the transformations I’ve witnessed in my clients. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone’s confidence soar when they discover their personal style and learn how to make fashion work for them. It’s a journey of self-discovery, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.
For potential clients or anyone interested in my work, I want you to know that I’m here to make fashion fun, easy, and empowering. Your style is a reflection of your unique personality, and I’m here to help you embrace and enhance it.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A year into my virtual styling journey my instagram profile got hacked. 160k followers, an amazing community of stylists, brand collaborations all gone just like that. I had no idea what to do next. I had only ever used socail platforms to promote my services and share my lookbooks so this hit hard.
The thought of starting from 0 again made me feel helpless. But there wasn’t anything else I could do. Well I could have just called it quits but of course that wasn’t really an option. I did learn a very valuable lesson from this though- social media is not sustainable. Make a website, start a newsletter, create a groupchat.. it’s better to be safe than sorry!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started posting on instagram right when reels became a big hit. So I leveraged them to the fullest and grew my account to 100k amazing followers in just 4 months!
But my second time around just posting reels wasn’t enough. So I started learning about social media management, took some *expensive* courses, dm-ed people and social media managers and asked them how the heck the algorithm works.
My biggest takeaways are:
– have a content strategy. Know which posts perform well in your niche and which don’t, plan out your content to stay consistent with posting
– most social media growth “gurus” will tell you the same things, tiktok & instagram aren’t always the best places to look for tips on growing your account. I usually found myself browsing through linkedin
– don’t delete old posts. This goes for tiktok and instagram. I’ve had posts that were weeks old suddenly go viral. Nobody cares about your post analytics as much as you do
– be authentic. If you see something works for one creator don’t flat out copy them. They’re still the OG and nobody likes to see the same content get recycled by another creator. Find your unique style and don’t be afraid to show it!
