Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bama Andy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Bama, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
Yes, it has.
I realize that at times I’ve been misunderstood. Unlike many people on social media, I try to use mine as a way to bridge gaps rather than create them. My intention is simply to remind people that there are still those who will meet others exactly where they are, love them for who they are, and treat them with respect and dignity.
I’ve never been the kind of person who meets a stranger with judgment. I don’t size people up based on appearance, preferences, or beliefs. Yet ironically, I’m often judged in those very ways, because I’m a white man from the South, a Christian who believes in Christ, someone with conservative values, someone with a rebel flag tattoo, and someone who enjoys country music outside of Christian music.
But labels rarely tell the full story of a person’s heart. My goal has always been simple: to treat people with kindness, respect, and genuine care, no matter who they are or where they come from.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
When it comes to my craft, I try to approach it with authenticity and purpose. Whether I’m creating a flyer for a dirt track race, designing a logo, like the one I created for myself, or simply doing freelance photography, I make it a point to genuinely connect with the people I’m working with. To me, it’s never just about the project itself; it’s about understanding the people behind it and telling their story the right way.
Some may see it as selfish, but the piece of work I’m most proud of is my own logo. It depicts a bearded man somewhat resembling myself, but the deeper meaning goes beyond appearance. It represents being a voice for those who feel they don’t have one, because far too many people are afraid to speak up. I’m not.
It also includes the phrase “Facta Non Verba,” which means “Deeds, Not Words.” That’s more than just a quote to me—it’s a principle I try to live by. I believe actions should always speak louder than anything we say.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal in life is simple: to love people the way Jesus loves each of us. By doing that, I hope to create opportunities to share my faith, to witness to others, and hopefully help lead them to Christ. Ultimately, my desire is to see as many people as possible come to know Him, so that one day, we may all share eternity in Heaven.
My mission is to remain steadfast in my walk of faith, to stay the course, seek Him daily, and pursue His wisdom and discernment in all things. Above all, I strive to live out His will for my life, allowing my actions, not just my words, to reflect the faith I carry in my heart.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part of it all is knowing that I have the opportunity to reach people and share the love of Jesus with them. This world desperately needs more love, and at the very heart of that love is Christ Himself.
Being able to meet people, connect with them, and witness to them brings a deep sense of peace to my soul. In those moments, I feel closer to Him and reminded of the true purpose behind everything I do.
He is the reason for it all.
