Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bailey Dixon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Bailey, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result?
The best client advice I ever gave was recently, and they didn’t even take it…
My clients had gotten their offer accepted on a GREAT deal. These clients make great income, but don’t have a lot of money saved. Therefore, we’d been working together for a while on getting a deal done using down payment assistance, where the clients could finance 100% of their purchase. And we did just that. They had a home that they loved, 100% financing, and the sellers were even paying the closing costs, which meant my clients would be paying ZERO out of pocket. Plus, the monthly payment they were looking at was $500 below the most they wanted to pay, so it was comfortable.
3 days into escrow, I got a call from them. They suddenly seemed unaware that the down payment portion of the financing was going to be paid back over time in their monthly mortgage payments. I don’t know where the confusion lied, but they said they wanted to pull out of the transaction because they thought it was free money. I explained to them how free money doesn’t get handed out like that, they loved the home, it was well within their budget, and they don’t even have to pay out of pocket which is extremely difficult to accomplish in today’s market. Despite being able to get exactly what they wanted to begin with, they threw away an amazing opportunity.
At the end of the day, even as a Realtor, I’ll never stray my clients wrong. If the deal is bad, I’ll never encourage you to stay. And if it’s good, I’ll make sure you know just how good it is. In this case, the clients didn’t want to listen to me, which is their loss at the end of the day. That said, if somebody else wants to buy a home zero out-of-pocket, let me know! I just want to help clients accomplish their dreams.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a full-time real estate agent. I love helping others, customer service, and being a positive light. I wanted to do that all on a bigger scale. Being in real estate has given me that opportunity, time and time again. I help with buying, selling, and investing all across Southern California. I’m always one call or text away. What I’m most proud of is my discipline and hustle at my young age. I’ve always been a few years ahead of my common crowd. I love what I do, and I’ll constantly work as hard as I can to ensure happy clients along the way.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I always set reminders to contact clients on big dates like holidays, birthdays, anniversaries of their home purchase, etc. I also just act myself with my clients. I believe clients deserve authenticity and high-level service at all times. Because of this, I just give them my full self and ensure they have an agent who represents their best interests.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
It really just comes down to creating and being consistent. By no means is my social media presence major or anywhere near where I want. But altogether, the more consistent I am and the more content I create, the more I’ve seen positive feedback and increased numbers. People don’t want the same trends over and over, and they don’t want sales BS. Just create authentic original content, post it consistently, and the platform will build itself.
