Alright, Bahar thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Often the greatest growth and the biggest wins come right after a defeat. ther times the failure serves as a lesson that’s helpful later in your journey. We’d appreciate if you could open up about a time you’ve failed.
I was working for a film post production company and by covide pandemic they cut 90% of their employees and I was one of them, I’ve thought I’ll start work at least in 2 months and I failed. I couldn’t find job that’s suitable for me and I was jobless about 1 year. For a person like me it wasn’t acceptable. How I can’t find a proper job? In that year my mom got sick and we were taking care of her. I was really bankrupt. I started my Instagram news page that supports Hollywood, Bollywood and Turkish Cinema and TV and I left searching job in my field. I found job in another field that I hadn’t any experience in it and continued working my news page at my free time After 1 year I could manage my economic problems with my salary and after 3 years people started to know my news page and follow me.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I remember myself as a media newspaper reader and a person who was curious about Cinema and TV all the time. I studied cinema and I was working in that field. When I lost my job I started to think when I am reading all news pages from Hollywood, Bollywood and etc, why I don’t use them. I can read what I like and I can translate and find news all over the world and share them with people who follows me specially those who just can’t read in my mother language (Farsi). on the internet in Farsi you’ll find lots of fake news, one of my goals to make my page was to share the real news and stay away from all those personal news that paparazzi reports. The person who reads news from my page is sure that is truth. Or if it is just a gossip I’ll mention it. I try to do my job in the best way and the quality of news that I share and respect to others difference,privacy and personal era is the things that I have to be aware about it.
Do you have any stories of times when you almost missed payroll or any other near death experiences for your business?
About 6 months ago I got alarm from Instagram and the next day I lost my page that I worked on it about 3 and half years. I couldn’t take back my page and without it I didn’t have any idea what I am going to do. After 1 month I got an email that invited me for an interview because of my page and I was noticing yet, that email showed me that I can’t give up, I started YouTube channel for my page and about 3 months ago I restated my page with a new name.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
At the year I lost my job, I lost my mom after 6 month of illness during Covid 19. One week after funeral ceremony me and my daughter got gas poisoning and fortunately we had been survived I was completely disappointed from my ability and there was no hope for me. The only reason saved me was my daughter. I am responsible of her, and I want her to be proud of her mom. I can’t give up.
