We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Babsy Artner a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Babsy, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
As an actress, filmmaker and graphic designer I’ve discovered AI for myself at the end of 2025. I’m quite versatile, I’ve done a lot of stuff. I’ve appeared in movies and TV shows, sang live on stage, produced short films and music videos, and got a degree in graphic design.
But creativity knows no boundaries.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I found out that I can realize projects with the help of AI, that I couldn’t otherwise. There always were so many stories in my mind that I wanted to tell, either in written form or – preferably – as movies or short films. AI nowadays gives me the opportunity to bring my stories to life, faster, easier and without a huge budget.
So, I’ve started to learn everything I could about creating images and videos with AI. The most important part for me was to use visuals which were originally my own work. My project therefore contains real photographs and filmed material which I modify using AI. This means I’m taking a completely different approach than most AI creators, who usually generate content entirely from scratch with AI.
That’s how I designed “AI.Babs“. AI.Babs is the AI version of myself as an actress. She’s featured in photos and stars in concept trailers, clips, and music videos in the style of fantasy, science-fiction, action, and vintage films. And since I love animals, AI.Babs interacts a lot with wildlife during her adventures.
Being an actress also makes it easier for me to use a technique called AI motion capture, a technique that tracks and replicates my own movements, enabling AI.Babs to act out scenes just like me in the real word.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Since I was little, I always wanted to entertain people with art, and I’m very happy that I can do that currently with a mixture of acting and digital art.
