We were lucky to catch up with Ava Mack recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ava, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?

Given my age, my music can sometimes be misunderstood. As a storyteller, my writing isn’t solely based on my personal experiences. Even though I haven’t lived through every story I tell, I hope my listeners can connect with the emotions and themes in my songs.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

From a young age, I was immersed in music, and I started singing and writing songs early on. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with performing and dedicate myself to focus on my craft.

As I’ve grown both personally and musically, I’ve begun releasing singles and have been moved by the positive feedback from top producers, artists, and industry professionals who believe in my potential. I am most recognized for my unique style and sound.

Above all, I want people to know that I’ve always been raised to stay true to myself. Authenticity is very important to me, and I strive to remain genuine in everything I do.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

I aim to share my music with those who appreciate the creative process. Music has been a source of hope and healing for me, depending on what I’m experiencing. I understand the power of words and their ability to impact and uplift

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Just as listening to other artists provides me with words and helps me process my emotions, I want to offer the same to my listeners. My goal is to provide them with the words or means to navigate their feelings. I also deeply value all forms of artistic expression, whether it’s singing, playing an instrument, acting, or any other medium, as they all contribute to the richness of self-expression.
