We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Autumn Kinkade. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Autumn below.
Autumn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you have any thoughts about how to create a more inclusive workplace?
I believe creating an inclusive workplace/enviroment is so important. For example I worked as a hostess at RibCrib and it was great! However, whenever they remodeled the restaurant it wasn’t inclusive to where I could do my job successfully as I had been before it was remodeled. They should’ve thought about inclusion in terms of how I would be able to still do my job especially after the remodeling of the restaurant because of the impact it had on my job I had to quit because it wasn’t designed to fit my needs.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I want fellow readers to know that I am much more than cerebral palsy. I am an author, model , motivational speaker and minister. I strongly believe in meeting people right where they’re and I believe that that sets me apart from others because not everyone can do that.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect in being an author is getting to hear how I’ve impacted my fellow readers it brings joy to me to know the positive impact I’ve made on them just from my book.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes, my goal is for people to realize that because I have cerebral palsy doesn’t mean I let it stop me. I’m more than my disability.
