We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Archelle Bloodworth a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Archelle, thanks for joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
The Circle of Pink Sistership name was developed to represent many women standing united together to encourage, support and be reminded that no one fights alone. As a community advocate I meet many woman from all over the world helping to support their needs whether it be mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually., or financially.. Once I was able to envision the mission of what I wanted to see open up for the community I saw many women who received the same diagnosis but all had different experiences and their own journey. Each one can uplift one another during one of the most challenging times of their lives. In a season of difficulty the Circle of Pink Sistership represents Keeping Hope Alive to save lives. While we understand it takes courage to fight having a great support system helps a lot with strength and inspiration.

Archelle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
As a Thriver after my personal journey I understood that there is still a Healing Process Mentally and Physically after the Finish Strong. In Running the race and Finishing Strong. I wanted to give back because there were many woman that I knew who were diagnosed afterwards and because of the love and support that keeps you surrounded during one of the most dark and difficult times of a season in your life. This nonprofit organization all began to from a Breast Cancer Walk I started almost 5years ago and many came from allover to gather and walk with me, in addition in memory of a loved one, Thrivers they knew of, or perhaps themselves, This was so motivating at the outpour of love that it has lead to huge conferences and events through out the year. I became a Breast health advocate for mean and women to learn of the importance of mammograms. The organization become a Support Group and safe space providing different classes and topics which are chosen by the community for which they are interested in. The Circle of Pink began having Retreats to help with Refreshing the Souls for those who have went through and want to be made Whole again. We also offer classes on Healthy Clean Eating and The importance of Holistic Health that keeps the body strong and healthy. I am most proud that I have walked with a nice amount of women through out their whole process from beginning to completion and seeing the Glory of God upon each one of their lives. We are a Circle of Strength, Faith, Love, and Compassionate. We Pray over our Community that has been built and continue to expand services. Our organization not only support adults but also children as well. We go out and deliver to families who parents are experiencing a tough time and make sure to support their children in a time of need. We have been listed in the Great News known for during a Great Work. I would encourage many to share with family and friends about us and to join us with a movement of HOPE where you can become a volunteer, a Sponsor or donate for the cause. We can be found on the website at pinksistership.com, social media platforms and emailed at [email protected].

Have you ever had to pivot?
On a part of my journey I had to go out on medical leave from my job which I enjoyed dearly. My time required many doctor appointments and treatment processes that didn’t allow me to work at the time and the company I worked for could only hole my position for a length of time because of the length of time I had been there. This created so many different emotions to how I had to process a new way of living and what it was going to look like for medical insurance purposes. It was so much to take in all at once as if it seemed life was coming at me fast and the decisions had to be made immediately. Eventually I had to rest in knowing that my God would supply every one of my needs. At the moment all I had was Faith to hold on to. It was a period of my life I had to give up many things that were dear to me and it wasn’t easy at all. I prayed continuously during that season hoping that all things would get better and that I would eventually be able to live better and stronger in the difficult areas of my life. Even when life seemed overwhelming eventually gradually resources became available to help me through.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I met my business partner by her becoming part of my support system. She was a two time Survivor and she encouraged me and stay apart of my journey through the entire process. I looked at her and saw a women of strength, a believer, and held compassion for me providing me with a bag that was filled with resources to help guide me along the way. Vanessa would check in often and keep pushing me through on some of the most difficult days that were worst than others. Her prayers were most felt. A few years later We decided to have a Celebration of Life for Survivors and Honor Them and It was very successful and is continuing to do ministry as a Healing Circle.
