We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Arash Pur Mohseny a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Arash thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump back to the first dollar you earned as a creative? What can you share with us about how it happened?
As an artist, the first dollar that you earn for your work, feels ….. unreal. You suddenly have this urge to quit your job but no! don’t do that. Earning income from your work in the first couple of years is simply just a motivation and a driving-factor. You must have it, but you shouldn’t depend on it.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a Music producer and Audio engineer who helps create music in a wide variety of genre. You can see my name under Rap songs, Pop songs and even Spanish reggaeton songs. I have been doing this for over 8 years and have gained worldwide recognition for my work. From making dance songs for the club to composing TV show scores, I can confidently say I’m able to do any musical work that’s thrown at me.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Not much of a resource but I really want other artists to hear this. Patience, patience, PATIENCE. The single most important thing as a creative is understanding that this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. You might not see the slightest amount of success in your first three years of working, but DON’T GIVE UP.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I guess the most rewarding part of this job is to have people say your name, respect your name and get excited when they see your name. People will tell you they make music for their own heart and don’t care about other’s attenti0n, but deep down that’s not true. We love it when other people listen to our music and admire us for it.
