We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Antonio Andrés Rosello a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Antonio Andrés, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I trained through a mix of on-set experience and formal training — taking acting courses, workshops, and masterclasses early on, and now deepening my craft at Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles. If I’m being honest, I wouldn’t change anything about that path. The international, unconventional way I came into acting is exactly what shaped me.
I was born in Venezuela, started acting at 9 in England in English, continued in a French lycée in Panama performing in French, and began working professionally at 17 in Spanish commercial theater in Panama. That constant shift between languages and cultures didn’t just influence me — it built the way I approach characters.
Alongside working on projects, I kept training consistently, while also studying Business Marketing at Florida State University. I’m actually very grateful for that, because it gave me a real understanding of the “show business” side of the industry. Acting is art, but it’s also strategy — and understanding both has been a huge advantage.
If I were to adjust anything, it would be focusing earlier on depth rather than just volume of work. Learning how to truly break down a script, use imagination, and play clear actions changed everything for me.
The most essential skills have been emotional truth, adaptability, and strong script work. One of the biggest challenges was navigating different countries and industries while trying to build consistency. Coming from a smaller market like Panama meant fewer opportunities — but it also allowed me to get a lot of real experience early on.
I could spend time thinking about how things might have been different somewhere else, but I don’t. I focus on using everything I’ve lived — because that’s ultimately what makes my work specific.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m an actor and creator based in Los Angeles, focused on building a career across film, television, and digital platforms. What defines me most is my versatility — both culturally and creatively.
I’m fluent in Spanish, English, Italian, and French, and able to perform across different accents and age ranges, which allows me to approach roles with a wide, adaptable range. I see acting as transformation — becoming a chameleon within each story.
A major turning point in my journey came during the pandemic, when I began creating acting content on TikTok. That grew into an audience of over 750,000 followers and millions of views, while also allowing me to consistently work on my craft. It opened doors and gave me momentum at a time when the industry had slowed down.
More recently, I’ve been recognized with Best Actor awards at the Berlin Film Festival and the Los Angeles Film Awards, and I’m currently nominated for Best Actor at the Replay International Film Festival in Vienna for We Are Not the Same, where I played a young soccer prodigy navigating identity and passion.
What I’m most proud of is the consistency behind all of it — continuing to train, create, and evolve. I’m building a career that combines performance, storytelling, and audience connection, with the goal of making a lasting impact through my work.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I feel very privileged to be able to pursue the arts, especially coming from a region where there are many challenges and fewer opportunities. A big part of what drives me is giving back — not just to my country, but to all the places that have shaped me along the way.
My goal is to become the best actor I can be, but also to use that platform for something bigger. I want to help build opportunities for others — whether that’s through education, supporting charitable causes, or creating spaces where young people can develop their talents.
Service has already been an important part of my journey. I’ve been involved in volunteer work since 2020, including being part of the YouthSpeak program in Panama, and I currently serve as an ambassador for the Panamanian Red Cross. Through that, I try to use my platform to raise awareness, bring in more volunteers, and support fundraising efforts.
At the end of the day, my mission goes beyond acting. It’s about creating impact — using what I build in my career to give back and contribute to something meaningful.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience during the pandemic, at a time when the industry had slowed down and I wanted to stay sharp as an actor. I committed to posting consistently — often one or two videos a day for months — creating character-based content and short scenes. It was a way for me to practice, experiment, and connect directly with an audience.
That consistency, combined with using trending formats and strong hooks, helped me grow to over 750,000 followers on TikTok and around 40,000 on Instagram. But more importantly, it gave me a space to develop characters and refine my instincts outside of a traditional set environment.
If I had to give advice, the biggest thing is authenticity. Don’t try to chase trends just for the sake of it — figure out what makes you different and lean into that. For me, it was acting and character work.
At the same time, there’s value in studying what works. In the beginning, I paid close attention to creators in my niche — how they structured videos, how they built hooks, how they kept attention. It’s okay to learn from others and even imitate structure at first. As Pablo Picasso said, “Good artists copy, great artists steal.” Over time, that evolves into your own voice.
And above all, consistency is what compounds everything. The people who grow are the ones who keep showing up.
