We were lucky to catch up with Anthony Perez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Anthony, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
The biggest risk I’ve taken was going with holistic healing rather than the medical care with chemotherapy, removing my thyroid and being on medication for the rest of my life. I was raised playing sports and staying active. I was 27 when I was diagnosed with metastasis papillary carcinoma(stage 4 thyroid cancer) I feel like we should all take risks especially when you feel it in your gut, heart and soul. I really want to inspire people who are losing their own hope or need a spark of inspiration I want the best for everyone and I want to be able to take risks with out judgment I know people will always have opinions and thoughts of Their own I’m here to show people that miracles are still happening everyday and we should always be grateful for each and every day we are given
Anthony, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started with music in 2006 at 16 years old I wrote 3 poems one for my mom, dad, and sister they all got acknowledged and I was awarded poetry.com editors award for those 3 poems and the poem I wrote for my dad. Was published in a book called “immortal verses”. From the momentum and interest in writing and poetry I started song writing and also rapping and singing. I also started producing music in my garage wit my grandfather’s studio equipment. I graduated from high school and went to college for audio Engineering and recording and learned how to create from scratch. I also learned to make beats and dj .I wanted to learn anything and everything that made money or was part of the music industry. I have recently released music on all streaming platforms and sold an album as a nft. I also placed in top 3 of upnext competition and dj Khaled.
