We were lucky to catch up with Anthony Bawn recently and have shared our conversation below.

Anthony, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?

For the past 10 years I’ve been off and on as a full-time creative. For the past 5 years I’ve been a full content creator developing original ideas for various distribution companies and streaming networks. Until I started my own platform to showcase my work and the work of other creatives.

This way of life is not easy and I proud to have a longtime standing partner who also understands the nature of the business and we support one another in our journey. You have to be a strong minded individual to take on this lifestyle because it’s not consistent. Cash flow is up and down and most times down with some really good HIGH cash flow months. But it’s about discipline, time management, and the relationships you develop along the way.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Inspiration can come from anywhere! However, I’m most inspired by Tyler Perry and drive to build his own foundation to carry without his legacy. WatchVIM is that platform for me. I started this journey in 2017 when streaming was just starting and I make various mistakes along the way but I feel now I have my footing on things and with my current business partner, Donta Morrison, we can see the vision.

Social media and the internet is spotty and finding your lane is always challenging but not since everything is place we can focus on developing that user base to get folks onboard to learning more about WatchVIM.

Arizona has provided us with an amazing opportunity to be one of the 1st streaming platforms locally to get approved for the tax incentive for filming more original titles here locally.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

My biggest downfall can be letting go things or allowing others to help. I’ve been in a position to where folks have told me I can’t do and I do EVERYTHING in my power to prove them wrong.

Thus, lately I’ve learn to allow folks to assist, giving on some task is OKAY, and it allows me to focus on other areas to better help the project or business.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is build WatchVIM into a leading platform for Subscription and Transactional for content creators.
