We were lucky to catch up with Angela Thomas-Smith recently and have shared our conversation below.
Angela , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.
Our business is dedicated to serving self-published authors, a truly underserved segment in the literary world. These talented writers often lack the support, recognition, and resources that traditionally published authors receive.
A Story of Impact
Consider Jane, a passionate writer with an incredible story to share. Despite her talent, she faced numerous barriers in reaching her audience due to the lack of support for self-published authors. She struggled with limited marketing resources and the challenge of gaining visibility in a crowded market. This is where our brand steps in.
Why It Matters
Self-published authors like Jane are crucial to the literary ecosystem. They bring diverse voices and unique perspectives that may otherwise remain unheard. Supporting them means enriching the literary landscape with stories that resonate on various cultural, social, and personal levels.
How We Serve
Our brand empowers authors like Jane by providing them with the tools, resources, and platforms needed to succeed. We offer marketing support, networking opportunities, and access to a community that values their work. This not only helps them gain recognition but also allows them to connect with readers who are eager for fresh and diverse narratives.
Through our efforts, we aim to level the playing field, ensuring that self-published authors receive the recognition they deserve and continue to enrich the world with their unique stories.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The driving force behind my creative journey is encapsulated in the 4 C’s: Connect, Collaborate, Create, and Community.
Connect: Building meaningful relationships with authors and creatives to share experiences and insights.
Collaborate: Working together with diverse talents to foster innovation and amplify voices.
Create: Producing impactful literary works and platforms that inspire change and resonate with audiences.
Community: Cultivating an inclusive and supportive environment where writers can thrive and uplift each other.
These principles guide everything I do, aiming to empower creatives to make a significant difference in the world.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspects of my creative journey are seeing my clients thrive and finding joy in their purpose, making a positive impact on the world one book and one story at a time, and living for God, which infuses my work with deeper meaning and inspiration. These elements drive my passion and commitment to being a catalyst for change.
