We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Andria Singletary. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Andria below.
Andria, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
I actually wouldn’t have started my business sooner or later. I started my business in October 2021. I had been a first-time mom for almost a year and a half, and wanted to build something for myself outside of motherhood and being a wife. Starting my business when I did allowed me to find something outside of motherhood and my marriage, and helped me get back to the woman I was – ambitious, driven, and a go getter. Funny thing is that I decided to launch this business when I was 12 weeks pregnant with my second child. Even though it would have been physically and mentally easier to start my business before I got pregnant, I still wouldn’t have wanted to start sooner. I’m currently pregnant with my third child, and there is just something about building a business when you are pregnant. While yes, you’re navigating fatigue, nausea, and all the other pregnancy symptoms, I have noticed that for me, I have an even stronger drive to get things done. It’s like a fire is lit inside me, and I’m even more motivated to get things done.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started my business in October 2021 as a virtual assistant. I literally offered all of the things as a service provider: general administration, copywriting, social media management, web design, and more. During this time, I was pregnant with my second child, and I quickly realized that when I transitioned to a mom of two, I would not have the same capacity as I did as a mom of one, with my child being in preschool full-time. I knew I needed to niche down into something that would allow me to work odd hours before my daughter arrived. I had become an avid podcast listener at the height of the pandemic, and I started to wonder who was supporting these women behind the scenes in getting their podcasts out into the world. After doing a Google search, I discovered podcast management. It sounded like the ideal niche for me. I found a course to take that would give me the skills and certification to begin offering podcast management services (which I completed the week before my daughter was born). I signed my first client that week as well, and I’ve been in this industry ever since.
As I supported more women in business with their podcasts, I realized many weren’t using them to their full potential. Many of them were only using it to highlight other experts or nurture their current audience when their podcasts could be doing so much more for their businesses. I began to view podcasting as a marketing and sales platform and started teaching my clients how to get leads and clients from their podcasts. After seeing clients double their revenue and see significant business growth just from their podcast, I decided to make podcast strategy for business growth a core part of my approach.
There are three ways I support my clients: The Evergreen Marketing Accelerator, VIP Podcast Launch, and Monthly Podcast Management.
The Evergreen Marketing Accelerator is a 3-month 1:1 podcast strategy and consulting experience. In 3 months, we map out and implement a custom podcast strategy to drive leads and sales from your podcast. Previous clients who have worked with me inside the accelerator have seen significant podcast growth, including a 67% increase in listenership just 2 months after implementing the strategies I taught. Other clients have learned how to make podcast content that attracts and converts. One client generated 19 leads for her 1:1 coaching offer directly from her podcast after implementing the strategies taught inside.
The VIP Podcast Launch is for the established woman in business who is ready to add a podcast to her business, but doesn’t want to figure out the tech or the strategy. I handle everything from the podcast tech to mapping out your podcast launch and developing an effective strategy, so you actually get an ROI from your podcast. All you have to do is hit record, and I handle the rest.
The Monthly Podcast Management Services are for the woman in business who wants to add a podcast strategist and producer to her team. Not only does she get her time back, but she also gets a thought partner who helps guide her on the best content to create for conversions and who incorporates podcast SEO so she is attracting quality leads to her podcast.
My clients come to me for one of two reasons: they know their podcast should be doing more for their business, but they aren’t sure what they need to do to make that happen, OR they know adding a podcast to their business is the next logical step, but they want to do it the right way so that it is set up for success from day one. I approach podcasting from a marketing and sales standpoint. I’m not about just supporting people with yapping behind the microphone, and that’s it. I’m all about ensuring you get the greatest ROI from your podcast. I look at where your podcast fits within your overall marketing and sales strategy and how we can best leverage it to generate leads and clients. I also take a customized approach when working with clients. I look at your individual business, goals, and capacity, and help you develop a strategy that supports all three. I’m a firm believer in building a marketing and sales strategy that fits your current season of life, and I help you do that through podcasting. The reality is that we all have lives outside of our businesses, and relying on platforms that require your constant time and attention to maintain isn’t always realistic. Life happens to all of us, and it’s often at the most inconvenient of times. When you have an evergreen marketing system like a podcast, you can step back when you need to without losing momentum in your business.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been podcasting. I treat my podcast like a sales funnel, so I create content for each stage of the customer journey. By approaching my podcast this way, people move along my sales funnel quickly. A podcast is such a powerful way to connect with your audience, build trust, and establish your authority. You literally become a part of your listeners’ weekly routine. I have had listeners tell me that they listen while doing chores or that they save up my episodes to binge when they have a long drive. My podcast has helped me sign multiple 4-figure clients I’ve worked with for 6-12 months. I have also used my podcast to grow my membership when I was running it, sign 1:1 coaching clients, and grow my email list. I leverage podcast SEO to attract listeners who are my highest quality leads. I create content that speaks to the hearts of my listeners, and I infuse my personality so they truly get to know me. My clients see these results as well, and the podcasting data supports this. In 2025, a study found that 62% of podcast listeners reported being more likely to purchase from a company advertised on a podcast, and that podcasts are more effective at driving immediate conversions than other forms of media (e.g., YouTube, television, social media). Bottom line is that my podcast has been my greatest marketing and sales asset, and has been worth the time investment.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
My email list and my podcast are how I continue to connect with clients and foster brand loyalty. I treat my email list like a group chat where I share all the behind the scenes of what’s going on in my business and personal life. Now, let me just say that I don’t overshare when it comes to my personal life, but I do give my email community a glimpse into more personal things that I’m comfortable sharing. My email list is the first to know about anything new happening. I have really great engagement, and have been able to leverage my email list to resign past clients or upsell current clients into a different offer. My clients love to listen to my podcast. My podcast is a great way to reiterate many of the strategies they’ve learned from me and has served as a great source of encouragement. Through being on my email list and listening to my podcast, they are kept informed of what is going on in my business and how I can best support them.
