Andrew, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, let’s jump into one of the most exciting parts of starting a new firm – how did you get your first client who was not a friend or family?
My first clients followed me from a previous job did because of the personalized legal assistance I provided them. They hired me with a handshake on their coastal cannabis farm in Santa Barbara. Earning those first dollars symbolized their trust in me and the start of a rewarding journey built on strong relationships and exceptional personalized service.

I’m a dedicated cannabis lawyer with a passion for this wild industry. My journey into this field began when a friend was arrested for cannabis possession. His attorney at the time needed his hearing covered. Thankfully, my friend offered up my services and I ended up getting hired shortly after.
I specialize in a range of services, including regulatory compliance and licensing support, tailored to address the unique challenges that my clients encounter in this dynamic space.
What truly distinguishes me is my in-depth industry knowledge, unwavering commitment to client success, and a proven track record of securing favorable outcomes during my decade plus in the legal cannabis space. My proudest moments are when I deliver a win for my clients. What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Initially it was former clients I’d worked with in the past. Now, word of mouth is the most powerful source of new clients. It’s a testament to the quality of service my firm provides, as satisfied clients have been instrumental in referring their colleagues, friends, and acquaintances to my practice. This organic endorsement allows me to focus on providing quality legal work to my current clients.
