We were lucky to catch up with Andrew Collins recently and have shared our conversation below.
Andrew , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
Honestly I’m happy being a artist I get to hang with stars on a regular basis and yes sometimes I do think about what if I would’ve just chose the normal path and tbh I’ve never been normal my whole life I was born with attention deficit disorder and had to struggle with staying focused but I’ve always loved music but one day I while i was incarcerated I had a vision that I was on stage rapping for a mass crowd and they was singing my song with me and mind u a song that I hadn’t wrote yet and when I woke up I wrote the song and till this day I still perform the song from time to time but that’s when I came to the conclusion that this is the only path for me

Andrew , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Andrew Collin’s I’m from Galveston Texas I’m 41 years old I got into the industry by putting in hard work and dedication on a daily no matter what happens I have website teaching weed literacy ima brand influencer for Temu im also a content creator and a music artist plus I make jingles, logos, flyers and coverarts. What I think sets me apart from others is my hunger to rise to the top! My drive is unmatched! I’m eclectic! What I want my fans to kno is that I live in my truth and I will never mislead my fans for fame or to look cool! Also what I’m proud of is the fact that I’ve came along way my song Catch-22 is streaming on all platforms and trending at this very moment

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I remember one day I was in the studio with some friends and I thought the song I was recording was hard but in all actuality it wasnt!!!My friends came and stopped me from rapping and told me the song was wack!!! That did something to my spirit!!! I made sure since that day no one would be able to tell me that again!!!!And here I am being interviewed for another magazine article 🤷🏾😂

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part is when u meet ur favorite child hood stars like when I met 8 ball from 8ball&Mjg the famous Memphis Tennessee duo plus I got to remix their song coming out hard and let him hear it and to my surprise he loved it!!! That’s why I love being a artist
