We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amberlyn Lopez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Amberlyn, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission with Baddie Packs is to create generational wealth for my daughters and family. I started Baddie Packs because I needed a second income, soon after, it became my only income and has kept me and my daughters afloat for over 2 years.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I started Baddie Packs By Amberlyn over 2 years ago, a few months before COVID hit. I had been working at Kohl’s as a supervisor/manager for 6 years. They closed the store down due to the pandemic and I took that as a sign from God to go full time with Baddie Packs. My goal was to sell beauty and cosmetics, like lashes, gloss, glitter, and accessories (jewelry, hair clips, scrunchies), but all in one pack. I wanted to do something different and unique. This became the Baddie Pack. A go to pack for everything you need to become THAT BADDIE. I created bundles at an affordable price and soon began to gain more customers and followers. From there, I started separating the lashes from the packs and selling them individually. Coming up with different style names and creating set inventory. After a while of buying lashes & gloss in bulk, I learned to make my own lipgloss, and from there I created my own line and offered wholesale as well for other business owners that wanted to sell lipgloss. Making gloss is not easy, but practice makes perfect. I enjoy learning how to make different shades and exploring with formulas. I started making different bundles that coordinated with holidays, events and more. After working on Baddie Packs for almost 2 years, of just selling beauty & cosmetics, I became interested in the body care industry. I was constantly spending money at bigger retail stores, trying to find products that worked for me and my sensitive skin. I did lots of research and learned about body oils, body butters/creams and body scrubs. This became my second business Baddie Body. I started making body care & created products that helped treat and heal the skin, while also boosting self-confidence. Making all my products vegan & cruelty-free, without all the harsh chemicals. I offer high quality body care, at an affordable price. I want all my customers & support system to know that I’d never sell them anything I wouldn’t buy myself. This is why I strive in perfecting my formulas, making sure they give real results & benefits. It’s a great feeling to be able to know what ingredients are included in your skin & body care routine. I plan to keep expanding my Body Care collection and learning how to make more products. I can’t wait to see my products in other stores.
I am proud of how far i’ve come with Baddie Packs. There are days where i’m so tired, I want to give up, but I have 2 daughters depending on me and I want to be successful for them, I will be successful for them. Running a business is not easy at all, but I won’t lose the faith and will continue to be consistent. My best advice to myself and to any other business owners is to TRUST THE PROCESS. There will be slow days, overwhelming days and even days where you get $0 in sales, but do not give up. STAY CONSISTENT & YOU WILL MAKE IT!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media has a played a big roll in building my clientele. Staying active and creating trust between you and your customers are very important. I am consistently posting products, product reviews, swatches and more. This is letting my customers know that, not only is my business legit, but letting them see real results and benefits from my products. My best advice for those trying to build their social media is to show your face. Talk to your customers. Hop on trends, like reels or tik-toks. Use your own products and show them. Don’t down play yourself or sell yourself short. This is your business, make the most of it. YOU HAVE THE POTENTIAL!

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with customers through social media (my business pages) & my website. For customers that i’ve known since I’ve started my business, we have even developed friendships. I want my customers to know that, even though i’m running a business, they can always come to me to talk or if they just need a friend, I am here. I want my customers to trust me. I do my best to stay consistent on social media, not only posting products, but posting positive quotes and advice.
