We recently connected with Amari Jhene and have shared our conversation below.
Amari , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I personally learned everything from some of my mentors and youtube. I also learned a lot from myself and by myself, meaning from my own mistakes whether if it was casting, scripts, editing etc.

Amari , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got into the film industry in 2019 during my sophomore year college. During that time I didn’t know much about filmmaking, all I knew is that I wanted to create and build my brand. So here I am 5 years later with a larger crew,, i’ve worked with over 300 different actors, i’ve won numerous of awards and filmed over 20 films!
I’m fairly new to the music industry but i’ve been recording music for over 2 years but haven’t released anything. Since ive moved to Houston , I finally have the courage to do so. Ill be releasing my first album titled “Scars” in late August.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience by being consistent with them . By consistent i’m talking about giving them what they want to see. If they wanted a sequel to a film or series, I gave it to them. I also built my audience by having quality work to show. Most of my supporters love the fact that I showcase high quality films and more!

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
My advice would be to stay consistent with company rules, procedures, and deadlines. The more you pour into your staff and company, the better the outcome. Building a team isn’t easy but the more you manage and invest into what you expect from them, you will receive a better outcome!
