We were lucky to catch up with Alyssa Anne Ebba recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Alyssa Anne thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
For me personally, I believe that to be successful you have to have determination, passion and dedication as well as inspiration. I call it my 4 acTION moves since they all end with the TION sound. Lol. 1. Without determination you can come up with all these ideas but not have the push to make it happen.
2. Without passion you’ll get bored and just let it all go.
3. Without dedication you can easily get sidetracked with all the million things happening in the world around you.
And lastly 4. Without inspiration you won’t have the umph to keep your business or goals to the next level. You tend to become stagnant.
I don’t really know how to illustrate this but over the years I’ve learned that I’ve become stagnant when I couldn’t find inspiration anymore. And the rest follows. During COVID I lost my determination and passion since we were told to quarantine. I wasn’t able to go out and take pictures or accept clientele. And my dedication fell off when I decided to want to learn how to do other things to help my business during COVID. I learned to make shirts and for a while it was hard for me to juggle everything.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Alyssa and I got into this industry because I love art and the freedom to express myself. I started my photography business when I got out of the military and was going to school. I needed a means to make money and it inspired me to pursue my major in Media Communications.
Services I offer are: photography/videography, editing, logo designing, custom tanks/hoodies/shirts/bags and handmade products such as candles.

How’d you meet your business partner?
I met my business partner/husband through a mutual friend back in High School. We grew apart as we got older and I joined the military but we found our way back to each other. Years later, we got together and recently, we married in April this year. He is my business partner because from the very beginning of my business he has been there. He pushes me to go out and take pictures. He helps me with financial decisions and equipment I need.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience on social media by doing Outreach and advertising through word of mouth and getting permission from clients to post the images I took of them on my portfolio. Another thing I did, leading up to the launch of my business was I did drawings. Each follow gave everyone a ticket and a week before my launch date I drew a name who won a prize I had announced prior.
