Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alphonso Rose. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Alphonso thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Everyone has there own success story and formula but i’ll just explain what worked for me as an entrepreneur. I’d say off top, you have to want success for yourself and at the same time visualize it in your head, whatever that may look like for you regardless of what your current situation is. Next you need a plan to reach success. Ask questions do research and gather what you need then write it down and go over it as many times as you need to. Make sure you also plan for things that can and will go wrong along the journey as well so there’s no surprises if or when things do get tough. Commit to the plan and also to starving all distractions for as long as it takes to complete your mission. The reality is you may lose friends and family along the way who don’t see the vision or ones that don’t want you to grow and they’ll say things like you’ve changed but you’ll gain clarity on whose who in the long run. Just remember this is about your growth into success. After you have your plan it’s time to take action. Put the work in but committ to being consistent as possible and don’t get caught up looking at the end goal. Focus on the small steps daily to get you to that end goal. Last just trust the process practice patience along the way and have fun doing it, success will follow.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Hey what’s up, I’m Alphonso Rose. Born and raised on the Eastside of Buffalo NY. My family and I moved to Georgia in 2013. I started out working for AT&T as a Tech installing cable telephone and internet. After the lay off in 2016 I literally couldn’t get a job so I created one.
I started Hang It Up ATL May of 2017. It’s simple no gimmicks we mount TVs, move outlets and hide wires for the modern look without the cords hanging everywhere. We also hang other things like art, curtain rods, shelving, swings, floating fireplaces etc. We transform living spaces for our customers and what I think sets me apart is that I treat every appointment like I’m mounting a TV for myself or in my own home. I love art so straight lines and symmetry are my thing. So it’ll definitely look amazing on whatever wall you decide to hang it on. I also come at peace and treat people and their homes with respect and it goes a long way. It’s 2022 and we’re still doing amazing things so I’m proud of that alone. Definitely one of the most trusted TV Mounting Companies in Atlanta.
For the potential clients with small children a TV being mounted on the wall out of the child’s reach is always a plus. I’ve heard so many stories of kids knocking TVs over throwing toys at them even some damaging the TV completely, let’s mount it
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media is an amazing tool for business owners, It’s like having a store front at millions of finger tips for whatever it is that you do. The only advice I was given when I first started was do not buy followers but I’d add to that and say don’t get caught up in Follower/Like counting you’ll drive yourself crazy.
My following has been very organic and it pretty much grew from doing amazing work/business consistently around the city of Atlanta and surrounding areas. I’ve also been told that the pictures of my work look amazing so make sure whatever it is you’re selling people can see it clear through your videos/pictures.
I struggle with this but give your followers a glimpse of you in your personal life often so they get a sense of who they’re booking or buying from. This also helps their decision when shopping with you.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I think a huge pivot for everyone was the pandemic in 2020. They wanted everyone to stay home which worked out for my business because people could finally complete projects or get their living space together since that’s where they’d be for most of the year. I wore a mask and shoe covers at every appointment and kept my distance from customers but 2020 was my biggest year. The work was beyond consistent around the city so It was a huge boost in my business.
