Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Allison Yang. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Allison thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
I am truly grateful that I chose to become a business owner. However, I am also aware that what people see as the end result is only 10% of the entire workload of an owner. Why do I say this? I believe that every person who chooses to be an owner carefully envisions their business before starting. Setting goals and ensuring action is taken is a part of the work that others cannot see, but it requires a significant amount of time and energy. What people see is the outcome, but what the executor sees is the entire picture. In my experience, good owners care about the details, and time management.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Have you ever had to pivot?
In my memory, the most significant turning point was when I turned thirty. For most women, reaching the age of thirty often brings about anxiety. It’s a time when they enter marriage, experience career advancements, witness their parents’ retirement, and embrace the joys and busyness of becoming a mother. Society is changing, and the interpretation of women’s identity has become increasingly diverse, going beyond the roles of wife and mother. Therefore, at this juncture, understanding oneself becomes crucial. It’s essential not to make any decisions impulsively. As Michelle Yeoh beautifully put it when she won an Oscar, women should not set limitations on themselves based on their age. I believe that where we invest our time is where our achievements happen.
I’m deeply grateful for the three extraordinary years I experienced in my thirties, where I learned to find tranquility in life and strengthen my beliefs and direction. Art will always return to life, whether it’s playing classical music or designing concepts, as both are forms of expression that manifest results.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
No matter what brand it is, design style, quality control, and marketing should all be carefully considered. Personally, I believe understanding the needs of customers is crucial. A good product should not only showcase what the designer wants to express but also cater to the needs of the general public. Ultimately, products need to serve consumers, whether they emphasize aesthetics or practicality, they must appeal to the corresponding target audience.
A brand cannot solely indulge in its own celebration.
Mu Young Design is a distinctive brand originating from the “City of Angels” Los Angeles, California. Its mission is to serve as a cultural bridge between Asian and Western cultures through art and fashion.
I believe the world is constructed by diverse cultures.
