We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alice Khalsa a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alice, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
A big risk I took was leaving a career I had built for seven years in Los Angeles—a video production company with powerful clientele—to move to the desert and begin a transformational coaching practice.
The moment came quietly, unmistakably.
I was co-facilitating a retreat, sitting in morning meditation beneath the redwoods. As we chanted, something in me softened and opened. The message was clear—not loud, not dramatic, just absolute:
Let go.
Let go of Los Angeles—my home of eleven years.
Let go of the career I had built from the ground up.
Let go of the identity I had worked so hard to become.
It was hard. Those clients meant so much to me. That career mattered. I had poured myself into it. But my spiritual life made it undeniable: it was time. The call in my heart—to move into the wild desert and support women through the transformational thresholds I myself had walked—was no longer something I could ignore.
I made several phone calls that day.
One was to a producer I deeply trusted, asking her to step in. She told me it felt like an answered prayer.
Another was to a mentor—whose company was also my biggest client. I told him I was leaving to pursue my dream of guiding women through transformation. He met me with nothing but wholehearted blessing.
A day later, as the retreat closed, I traveled to Big Sur. I sat on the rocks overlooking the ocean, wind on my skin, salt in the air—and I felt free. A kind of freedom that radiated through my bones and my breath. I could feel it clearly: a new era was beginning. A new vision was already forming in front of me.
Now, nine years later, I’m sitting in a hotel room in Tulum, having just witnessed a beloved client marry her partner. To stand inside a moment so full of magic—to witness the healing she has walked through, the love she has claimed—this is everything.
And more.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Alice Khalsa—Threshold Guide and Transformational Coach. I support women in reclaiming their pleasure, power, and purpose by guiding them through embodied, soul-led initiation.
I began my professional life in Los Angeles, where I built a successful video production company from the ground up, working with powerful and high-profile clients. It was fulfilling on many levels—but during a retreat I was co-facilitating in the redwoods, I received an undeniable message in morning meditation: It’s time to let go.
Let go of LA. Let go of the identity. Let go of the career I had worked so hard to build.
So I did. I moved to the high desert of Southern California and followed the sacred call to guide women through transformational thresholds—the very kinds I had walked through myself.
Now, nearly a decade later, I live with my husband and son under wild desert skies, and my work weaves shadow integration, erotic reclamation, spiritual leadership, and sacred storytelling into powerful containers of transformation.
I serve high-functioning, spiritually-rooted women who are longing for something deeper. Women who are exhausted from performing sacredness, managing their lives like projects, and living from the neck up. My clients are ripe for real initiation—into embodiment, sovereignty, and truth.
My offerings include:
Pyramids of Pleasure™: High Priestess Path to Sacred Ecstasy — a sensual portal into divine embodiment, feminine wisdom, and pleasure as a holy path
The Vault of Divine Manifestation™ — a collection of rituals and embodiment practices to unlock abundance and align with your soul’s highest timeline
Rose Eden Temple™ — a monthly virtual temple of lunar rhythm, sacred embodiment, and feminine remembrance
Bespoke 1:1 Coaching Containers — intimate, high-touch mentorship for women navigating soul thresholds, spiritual awakenings, or major life transitions
2x Yearly Women’s Retreats in the High Desert — immersive, in-person gatherings under desert skies where we deepen into ritual, reclamation, sisterhood, and sacred embodiment
This isn’t coaching. It’s ceremony. Not mindset. Mystery. Not personal development. Sacred descent.
What makes your work different?
This work doesn’t bypass. It meets you—in the ache, the numbness, the shame, the grief, the desire—and guides you through it.
I don’t offer seven-step formulas. I offer portals. What sets me apart is that I walk with women through their real initiations—not to fix, but to mirror their truth, to help them reclaim the parts they’ve been told to hide, and to return them to the throne within.
My approach is sensual, poetic, embodied, and fiercely loving. Clients often tell me they finally feel seen—not as a persona, but as their soul.
What are you most proud of?
I’m proud of the courage it took to walk away from what looked like success to follow what felt true.
And I’m deeply proud of the women I’ve walked with—through birth, death, grief, pleasure, reinvention, sacred union, and ecstatic embodiment. I’ve witnessed miracles: women reclaiming their voice, remembering their joy, stepping fully into their power after decades of suppression.
Recently, I watched a longtime client marry her beloved in Tulum after years of inner work and reclamation. To witness that full-circle moment of love, radiance, and wholeness—that’s the work. That’s the reward.
What do you most want people to know about your work and your brand?
This is not a brand built on trends. It’s built on truth. Lived experience. Devotion.
If you’re at a threshold—between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming—I want you to know: you are not broken. You’re birthing something holy.
And this threshold is a portal-
A homecoming.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
What’s a lesson I’ve had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
That there’s an arrival point.
A finish line.
Some place where you finally become and then the journey stops.
It’s an illusion I clung to for a long time—especially as a Capricorn who thrives on certainty, structure, and the idea that if I just worked hard enough, I’d arrive. But the truth is: there is no final arrival. Our human experience is a continual evolution. A sacred unfolding. A blooming and withering and blooming again.
Nature has been my greatest teacher in this. When I look to her—especially here in the desert—I see it everywhere. The Joshua Tree with one branch decaying, while another blossoms from its base. Life doesn’t stop. It composts. It transforms. It births itself anew.
Entrepreneurship, motherhood, and coaching have all deepened this teaching in me. I’ve had to learn how to live in uncertainty—and not just tolerate it, but marvel at it. To trade the false sense of security for wonder. For listening. For deep presence. For infinite possibility.
What once felt terrifying now feels sacred: there’s no map, no finish line, and no one-size-fits-all timeline for becoming. Only the breath, the moment, and the sacred intelligence that’s unfolding through each of us—right now.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
What I believe is most helpful for succeeding in this field—
is devotion.
Not motivation.
Not discipline.
Not even passion.
But devotion—that sacred thread that runs deeper than “should” or “have to,” beyond right or wrong. It is an inner compass. An inner North Star. A quiet, unwavering presence inside that directs your attention, your focus, your energy toward what truly matters.
Devotion is not conditional. It doesn’t rise and fall with moods or market trends or political climates. It lives beneath all that. It’s a soul-level yes—to life, to love, to service. To being a steward of the sacred. Of your own spirit. Of the ones Spirit has placed in your life to walk beside and witness and hold.
This kind of devotion becomes a resting place inside the soul. A place that says:
I am here for this.
I’m not outsourcing my belonging, my purpose, or my readiness.
I’m in.
I’m part of the Great Offering.
My hands are open. My heart is available.
And I’m ready to contribute.
That, to me, is what carries us forward—not just in business, but in life, in leadership, and in legacy.
