Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexis Ramdaou. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alexis , appreciate you joining us today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
When I decided to start Now It’s Hear, the idea had been brewing for a while. I have spent over a decade working as a producer and content creator, building podcasts from the ground up. But I was ready to launch something that was truly mine—a company that would not just tell stories but amplify voices, push the boundaries of audio, and bring fresh talent to the forefront. Sure, there were tons of shows out there, but so there are so many emerging storytellers and leaders struggling to get their ideas off the ground. They have incredible stories but need the right support to bring them to life. That’s when I knew I wanted to create a company that would not only produce top-quality content but also collaborate with a wide array of voices in the industry.
The next step was figuring out how to turn this idea into a reality. I sat down and mapped out the vision for Now It’s Hear. I wrote down everything I wanted the company to stand for: high-quality production, innovative storytelling, and a focus on elevating underrepresented voices.
Once I had the vision, I moved into the research phase. I dug deep into the podcasting landscape, and pinpointed the unique value Now it’s Hear could offer. I also tapped into my network, speaking with industry peers, potential clients, and doing research to ensure that my company would meet real needs. Drawing on my experience as a producer, I knew how crucial it was to have a strong brand presence from the start.
One of the biggest challenges in these early days are balancing the creative and operational sides of the business. As a content creator, my natural inclination is to dive into the production process, but I also have to focus on setting up the business infrastructure. I started crafting the first episodes with clients that would define Now It’s Hear. Every detail matters—from the sound quality to the narrative structure—because I want our work to stand out in a crowded market.
Starting Now It’s Hear is a natural extension of my passion for storytelling and content creation, but it also required stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing the challenges of running a business. It took a combination of vision, research, and execution to move from idea to reality. Now, as I continue to grow the company, I’m constantly learning and evolving, but the core mission remains the same: to create exceptional content and help others do the same. Now It’s Hear is more than just another production company. It’s a place where new voices thrive, where we mentor, collaborate, and create something truly special.

Alexis , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My Story:
My adolescence was challenging, as we grew up with limited resources, and my mother was sick, eventually passing away. To cope, I sought ways to express myself through art. I started in musical theatre at a very young age, which opened up a world of creation for me. It allowed me to escape the hardships of everyday life by stepping into different worlds and stories.
Through theatre, I was constantly exposed to a kaleidoscope of human experiences. People from all walks of life crossed my path, each with their own struggles, triumphs, and stories to tell. Despite our differences in background, culture, and circumstance, we were bound together by the raw and universal thread of human emotion.
As I got older, I realized I wanted to share my own stories and help others find their voice. I focused on songwriting and producing my own material, learning the tools to build something from the ground up and see it through to completion. I felt it was important to understand every aspect of the creation process, so I learned each piece step by step, from pre-production through post-production. This allowed me to contribute to every part of the project and become a more knowledgeable and effective collaborator. I started creating shows and projects from the ground up and this experience gave me a deep understanding of how to craft compelling narratives and manage complex production workflows while maintaining the integrity of the story and its purpose.
My work became my mission—a journey to capture the essence of the human experience through songs, podcasts, writing, art, and whatever medium allows me to weave the tapestry of human stories with authenticity and empathy.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
As a creative, one of the most challenging aspects to convey to non-creatives is the sheer amount of time, energy, and thought that goes into every single piece of work. People often see the finished product—a song, a podcast episode, a piece of art—and assume it came together easily, or that it’s just a matter of talent or inspiration. But the reality is far more complex.
Getting something from conception to completion is an intricate process. It starts with an idea, but that’s just the beginning. There are countless meetings where you brainstorm, refine, and sometimes even scrap ideas entirely. You sit down with collaborators to discuss every detail, from the big-picture vision to the tiniest elements that might seem insignificant but can make all the difference. These discussions lead to drafts, which then lead to revisions—over and over again—until you start to see the glimmer of something that feels right. Even then, you’re not done. More feedback comes in, more revisions happen, and sometimes, you find yourself going back to the drawing board entirely. It can take weeks, months, or even years to get from that initial spark of an idea to a final product that you’re ready to share with the world.
This process is often invisible to those who only see the end result. They might not realize the countless hours spent wrestling with an idea, the late nights spent tweaking something that just isn’t sitting right, or the emotional rollercoaster of getting something just right. And that’s not to mention the external factors—the meetings, the negotiations, the logistical planning—that are all part of bringing a creative project to life.
Understanding this process can help people appreciate that creativity isn’t just about having a great idea. It’s about persistence, patience, and an unwavering commitment to turning that idea into something tangible. It’s about the willingness to keep pushing, even when it feels like you’re getting nowhere, because you believe in the potential of what you’re creating.
So, for anyone looking at a finished product and thinking, “That looks easy,” remember that what you’re seeing is the result of a long, complex journey. And every creative out there is walking that path, one step at a time.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, It’s that moment when everything finally comes together, and you can see the fruits of your labor in full bloom. There’s no greater feeling than seeing a project evolve from just an idea in your head into something real, something tangible that others can connect with.
When everyone involved—whether it’s collaborators, the audience, or even yourself—feels satisfied and proud of what’s been created, it’s incredibly fulfilling. It’s like watching a puzzle piece by piece until you see the whole picture come together, knowing all the time, effort, and passion that went into making it happen. That sense of accomplishment and shared joy makes all the hard work worthwhile.
