Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexis Delgado. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alexis, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
When I was fired from my last job I found my inner peace, I was working on a call center and these people just wanted to have a person who didn’t want to follow their dreams, currently I am a music producer and a good photographer.
When I took the risk of being a music producer I lost a lot of money, but I gained a lot of peace and many opportunities.
I’ve been working on this since last year and it feels great when I look back and remember when I was a kid and I wanted to do everything I’m doing now.
In my country it is difficult to make a living from this but little by little I have been making myself known, whether in photography or music.

Alexis, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My story goes back to 2018 when I was in night high school, I started painting graffiti with my brother “Smiley One”, I spent my time painting, listening to rap and skating with my friends.
One afternoon when I was in the neighborhood, a “rapper” was fighting and he threw some rhymes at me, I lost the battle but he inspired me to want to rap.
As time went by I noticed that riots were becoming more frequent in my neighborhood, attacks and murders were increasing, at that time I started making music.
At that time, only violent music was heard in the streets, little conscious rap was heard. In 2019 my father was imprisoned, I took complete refuge in music, in the middle of the year I wrote my first song titled “clones”.
Since then, a lot of people have asked me how much I sell my beats for.
So many people liked my beats that I decided to start selling them.
Many wanted to start recording music so I started helping them produce their songs.
I try to solve the problem of many rappers which is acquiring instrumentals from YouTube without paying licenses, I leave the beats at an affordable price.
What I feel sets me apart is that I am not only inspired by rap but also by music in general. Inspired by my parents’ music, I have many influences, you can see it in my beats.
What I am most proud of is that everything I am fighting for is paying off, I feel like I am at that time where I have to achieve it.
What I offer are high quality beats at a very reasonable price for those who cannot afford them. You can find me as @_Astrosw on Instagram.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
That feeling of having nothing and at the same time having everything. Knowing that you are doing what you like is gratifying.
If I can inspire someone like many have inspired me in the past, I will have achieved something important.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal in this more than anything is my desire to be happy, I come from a place where I achieve it or die trying, my experiences inspire me daily to continue doing what I love.
Make conscious music that inspires others and helps them in a certain way. That’s the goal of my music.
