Alexandria, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?

I believe success is a reward of the journey. It is the product of achieving a goal through perseverance, humility, and sacrifice. I was once told, “It is better to aim too high and miss your mark, than to aim too low and hit it”. Being equipped with the burning desire to strive through accomplishments, hurdles and failures is what makes the journey rewarding.

Taking that leap of faith and not surcomming to various obstacles have led me to where I am today. Gaining this mental toolkit has allowed me to gain the appropriate techniques and strategies that have proven to be effective. Transforming my mind was my biggest challenge and reward. Having the mentality that “I am going to do my best.” has been beneficial in my story. I used to strive for perfection, until I had to learn nothing will ever be perfect. As long as I put forth my best effort, I am reaching much closer towards success.

My name is Alex B. and I am a nurse entrepreneur! I am the owner and founder of Physique Beauty and Wellness, PLLC. We are located in the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina. Our mission is to ensure that we promote wellness in our community, while enhancing and supporting healing environments. We intend to take “A Modern Approach To An Enhance Physique.” I am creating this space so that we can put our “PHYSIQUE” first in our lives. I chose the name Physique as it pertains to the structure, constitution, strength, form, or appearance of the body. We are a unique player in your journey, taking an innovative approach to providing health and wellness services that will leave you feeling stronger, healthier, while looking your absolute best.

Currently we provide luxury concierge IV Hydration and Vitamin Injection services! IV Hydration is the administration of vitamins, minerals and amino acids via a catheter that is inserted into the vein, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract for more effective results, accounting for 100% cellular absorption. In the course of time we intend to expand our services to cosmetic injectables and skin care. With my professional experience in Critical Care, this has allowed me to have the appropriate competency and passion to serve our clients. We take pride in actively listening to our clients to ensure their experience is personalized. As a minority business owner I am proud that I am creating a footprint in an industry that struggles with inclusivity. What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

“Anything is attainable by being in the right room.” Who would have ever thought that everyone’s lives would be changed in the year 2019. Graduating and entering the field of nursing during uncertain times, was definitely a turning point in my life. Throughout the program, we were always taught to be an employee, taught to take orders from other healthcare professionals. But, actually being your own boss? That was a far fetched notion in the nursing community.

Nothing that occurs in our lives is a coincidence. There was a point in my life where I began to think beyond the glass ceiling, which means stepping out of my comfort zone. Honing into my purpose and unlearning the captive career ladder mindset, was my biggest lesson. I began to participate in different conferences, educate myself and I began to read mind shifting literature. This is when the entrepreneurial puzzle pieces began to fit.

You are yourselves biggest critic. Once I let go of what I thought was the correct way, and actually placed that drive into my passion, I became unstoppable.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?

Clients are not just dollar signs, I believe they are the backbone of a successful business. Talking and treating your clients as human beings is our first approach. Building proper rapport allows our clients to feel comfortable, which enhances trust in our business and employees. Having competent employees establishes successful results with our clients. Knowing that we want the best for our clients fosters brand loyalty. We personalize each visit to our clients specific needs, making the overall experience pleasant. Keeping in touch with our clients does not stop when we leave the premises, but taking the opportunity to call our clients before and after the completion of services helps foster our brand loyalty. Transparency, clear communication and genuine care are core focuses to help build our brand loyalty.
