Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to ALESSANDRO GALEA. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
ALESSANDRO, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I have always had a dream of helping to navigate and minimize the stress levels that occur naturally in the world of Canadian Real Estate. My mission is to help avoid the emotional and judgmental mistakes I see every day that put people in an unfavorable position with so much of their hard- earned month at stake. As a Millennial in the front- lines of housing world, I see the pressure of people looking to put a roof over their heads. The motivation came when I was searching for my new home back in 2014 at 22 years old, where there were barriers all around me.

ALESSANDRO, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Previously I was doing HVAC sales with 2 years being door-to-door by knocking on 250 homes a day, 6 days a week traveling from Fort Erie to North Bay. Having been into thousands of homes and upgrading numerous big- ticket components of people’s homes, I learned the foundations of business while completing my 3-year Advanced Diploma at the Humber Business School. I traveled a lot, consulted a lot and assisted many people with necessary efficient upgrades to their homes. I take pride in being the only one to sell a homeowner of an 1800’s Toronto rowhouse, a new furnace system and ductwork for the first time in history. It was what was called an “octopus” furnace and the homeowner had been approached many times in the past but was never really intrigued until I came along.
I shifted careers 7 years ago due to the HCAV sales propaganda in the media and went from the top salesperson in my company to ground zero in Real Estate School. It was a challenging financial shift for me but it’s where I began building my rental property portfolio in Etobicoke. I was seeking something more passive and sustainable long- term and have always had a passion for homes, renovations and helping people navigate complex situations.
To date, I have helped people at all walks of life, have hosted numerous tenants in my units while giving top satisfaction, and worked on a number of tedious old- home renovations. My passion is to push the limits and achieve the unexpected with all those I serve. From doorknocking on the coldest and showiest days to fulfill my promotional duties, to taking on newcomers in finding rentals with no credibility, I have overcome some tough positions!
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson that people will do things like you, in a similar mindset, or a similar level of quality. This is a way to setup unrealistic expectations as I have learned people have their own values and beliefs. Approaching many situations in business and tenancy, I have had to learn to see things from other people’s perspectives or at least a bird’s eye view. Failing to do so will lead in a bunch of disappointment and missed targets.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I had a listing in Mississauga, which I promised my client I would doorknock for a specific weekend, but that weekend ended up being a white- out and people were advised to stay indoor due to frigid temperatures.
Upon speaking with my manager, he advised to go out regardless and show my resilience to the neighborhood. Upon dressing like a snowman, I went out there to find I couldn’t feel my feet after 10 minutes. It was blistering cold and I lasted almost 4 hours out there and ended up meeting my biggest client to date who has worked with me numerous times and has also referred me more business. It was my coldest and hardest, yet fruitful day in Real Estate.
