We were lucky to catch up with Albert Orona recently and have shared our conversation below.
Albert, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
I have enjoyed learning the craft and digging deeper into the art because it has given me a greater understanding and it gives me more of an appreciation for the hard work that it takes to make it as a Comedian.

Albert, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Cuzin Berto and a Stand-up Comedian. I’m approaching eight years of being a Stand-up Comedian and I’ve enjoyed every single moment. The best part about being on stage is when I see and hear you laughing at my jokes.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The story I would say that has tested my resilience full capacity is the time I was homeless and living out of my car for almost a year. I have no idea how I kept going; I just did! I knew that it was just a season that I was going through and I knew that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. So I kept going and going! I knew that if I had given up, I was basically throwing away my natural-born talent.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I have a lot of short & long term goals but my main goal is to leave a mark in people’s life’s whether that may be with my horrible, loud, laugh or a joke that I may have said. I do this for people.
