Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aiyana Amos. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Aiyana, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Growing up, I’ve always had a passion for entertainment and being in front of people. The feeling I get from it is amazing. I have such a strong connection with it, that I’ve never had with anything else. So, as a child, I always knew this is my life’s purpose.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
One day I was at work, and I was working at Sprouts Farmers Market at the time, as a cashier, and I just so happened to be scouted out by Ellie Leal. She approached me and asked me have I ever thought about acting or modeling. I immediately told her that’s always been my dream. Shortly after I came to the realization, that I would need to get into to shape and start making healthier changes for myself, to be apart of this industry. At first that, wasn’t easy of course, but I picked myself up and pushed myself to achieve a healthier lifestyle. I started lifting weights at the gym, and started taking my health seriously. And I’m proud to say now I’ve accomplished my health goals. So it’s most definitely a job well done.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
A lot of people who are non-creatives have asked me how do I pursue something that seems so out of reach and impossible. I always tell them, that you can’t let anything hold you back. Always take risks, and new opportunities, because you never know where they could take you. It may not be easy, but you don’t need easy. You just need possible.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I would say the most rewarding aspect, would be is that I’m getting to do what I love, and I get to share that with the world. That’s the most rewarding part of it all.
