We were lucky to catch up with Adrian Paul recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Adrian thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

The biggest risk I have ever taken would definitely have to be starting my business during the pandemic! Although it was very nerve-wracking it also was very exciting. I truly believe it’s all in the way you view things as a individual. The pandemic was also a time when many learned and practice makeup so I literally told myself “Why not “ and spoke to my team and launched my Beauty line in 2022.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’m Adrian Paul, I’m 25 years old. I was raised in Brownsville,Tx but I’ve been in the Los Angeles for about 6 years. I am the owner and founder of Pride Beauty. We are a lgbtq owned and operated small business. What makes me most proud of Pride Beauty is that we are very inclusive. Anyone who wants to play with makeup should definitely be given the opportunity to play with makeup. I believe Pride Beauty will be one of the top beauty brands you’ll want to know.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

By being inclusive. We share photos on our Instagram of different skin tones, genders etc. It’s the thing I’m most proud of as a beauty brand owner.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

Definitely. I think being a brand owner can be very challenging but it can also be very rewarding. I 100 percent have made a few sacrifices to get to where I am right now. I remember someone once told me that my 20s are supposed to be fun and stressed free , however I constantly remind myself that I don’t want the outcome that majority of people have. Therefore I need to pivot in life to get that different outcome. That goes with both my career & personal life.
