We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ade Ramirez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ade below.
Ade, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you in your professional career?
After dedicating a decade to the hospitality industry, specifically in hotels, and spending nearly five years at a prestigious country club, I have gained profound insights into the nature of human preferences and behaviors. Over the years, I have come to realize that people have an inherent fondness for consistency. They appreciate knowing what to expect and find comfort in reliable experiences, whether it’s impeccable service, a consistent ambiance, or unwavering quality.
Another significant observation is that individuals have a strong desire to belong. They seek a sense of connection and identification with something larger than themselves. Whether it’s a community, a group, or an organization, people yearn to be part of a collective that aligns with their values and provides a sense of belonging.
Furthermore, I have witnessed firsthand the power of emotional attachments in fostering loyalty. People often return to establishments not only for the experiences they offer but also for the relationships they develop along the way. Emotional connections play a vital role in creating lasting memories and forging strong bonds with guests and members.
In essence, I firmly believe that employees are the heart and soul of any successful business. They are the driving force behind the exceptional experiences that keep guests and members returning. When employees genuinely understand and connect with individuals, it cultivates a deep sense of loyalty. Even when the time comes to part ways, those connections can be so impactful that people willingly offer their support and, in some cases, even follow you on your next professional journey.
My journey in the hospitality industry has been an incredible learning experience, and these realizations have shaped my understanding of what truly matters. I am excited to continue growing and contributing to the world of Wellness, armed with the knowledge that consistency, a sense of belonging, and emotional attachments are the keys to success.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi there! My name is Ade, short for Adelaida. I’ve been on quite the fitness journey since a young age, and my first taste of the fitness industry was working at Bally Total Fitness. From there, I spent nearly a decade at the prestigious Montage of Beverly Hills, before moving on to become the Assistant Director of Spa & Sports at the Rolling Hills Country Club for over four years.
As I continue to grow my small business, I offer a range of services in the fitness world. From fitness yoga to consulting for businesses in need of a fitness program, my goal is to provide a well-rounded experience. And if it’s not me personally, I have an amazing team of like-minded trainers who I trust and rely on.
What sets us apart is our dedication to building relationships with our clients. We strive to make people feel cared for, valued, and like they’re part of something special, rather than just another name on our roster. While our client list may be large, we ensure that each experience is personalized and tailored to individual needs.
One of my current accomplishments that I’m incredibly proud of is my involvement in developing a fitness program at the Conrad downtown LA, as well as another hotel in Beverly Hills. And, fingers crossed, there may be an opportunity to work with a hotel in Newport Beach too. I feel fortunate to have these connections, as it’s a testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve put into my career.
Currently, I’m also working on offering semi-private fitness training sessions to make them more cost-efficient for clients. Additionally, I’m excited to offer small, private classes for 3-5 people, providing them with even more access to a high level of service in the vibrant neighborhoods of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
To be honest, I’m currently on that journey. I made the decision to leave my salary job and fully focus on my small business, and I must admit, it hasn’t been easy at all. Balancing a 40-hour workweek job while trying to grow my business has proven to be quite challenging. However, I took a leap of faith because I believe in the potential to create something truly special and impactful, both on an individual level and on a larger scale. Every small step I take is important, and I constantly remind myself that progress is not defined by labels or expectations. It’s this mindset that fuels my resilience and keeps me motivated on this path.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I could go back and make the same choice about my profession, I have to admit that I am still at a young age where I can switch careers and achieve success in a different field. However, I have a deep passion for all things fitness and wellness. Seeing now how larger businesses are investing in fitness, wellness, and mental health only reinforces my belief that there is a vast potential for everyone in this field. It’s something I am truly enthusiastic about and want to be a part of, making a positive impact on others’ lives.
