Today we’d like to introduce you to Anyea’ Thompson
Hi Anyea’, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I began my graphic design journey four years ago as a hobby for my first business, FramedU, which specialized in sunglasses. Initially, I created quick flyers for my own business, but soon realized I had a creative vision and a natural talent for graphic design, despite not being formally educated in the field. As my work gained attention, other entrepreneur friends began requesting flyers, leading me to pursue graphic design full-time. When COVID-19 hit and I was working in childcare, I decided to take a leap of faith and fully commit to this passion. Four years later, my venture has evolved into TheBrandARTist Studios, servicing businesses worldwide with over 500 clients. Our brand is dedicated to cohesive branding, encapsulated by our motto, “1 Way Flight To Cohesive Branding.”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing is ever a smooth ride, and being an entrepreneur demands a unique level of patience and dedication. Starting from scratch with just yourself and striving to make a name is no small feat. The journey can be tough, especially when personal challenges arise, as you must find ways to persevere because people rely on you, and you cannot offload your work onto others. When you have up’s & downs in business you just have to remember your why and also remember that God gave you that business vision for a reason. The rewards of entrepreneurship are unmatched. Collaborating with other business owners whose brands align with yours and witnessing your creativity come to life is one of the greatest feelings.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a brand designer specializing in brand identity, cohesive branding, and social media marketing. I help brands launch their businesses and re-establish their presence through strong brand identity. I like to think of myself as the branding pilot, guiding my clients in the right direction for their brand’s success. What sets me apart is my creative process, which involves getting to know my clients deeply. I have them apply to work with us to ensure their brand aligns with mine because I believe all money isn’t good money. I am well-known for my logo developments and social media content flyers, but I consider myself a versatile designer capable of meeting diverse branding needs.
How do you define success?
I’d like to think that “success” has a different definition for everybody. For me, success means setting goals and being able to achieve them. It also encompasses financial freedom, allowing me the independence to pursue my passions and live a fulfilling life.
