One of my favorite customer success stories isn’t just one story—it’s a theme that keeps coming up, and it brings me so much joy! Time and time again, customers come back to tell me that the jewelry or clothing I made for them has become their **absolute favorite thing**. They wear it *all the time*—whether it’s a sterling silver ring with a turquoise stone or a vibrant tie-dye piece that turns heads everywhere they go. Read more>>

In July of 2024 Jasper National Park received an evacuation alert; two wildfires had started from a lightning storm in two separate areas close to the town site. Residents had a small amount of time to grab whatever belongings they could fit in their vehicles, and leave their homes. For my husband/business partner and I, we went through a fire evacuation list that we had prepared beforehand and started grabbing all of our photography gear and business equipment. With a jeep packed to the roof full of our life’s belongings, we headed out into the night where ash was already raining from the sky. Read more>>

My event, The Backyard, highlights local artists and businesses while ensuring they are fairly compensated. The second event I hosted at The Jessie Ball duPont Center helped me understand how important it is to pay artists. There are some discrepancies in Jacksonville’s culture where artists are booked for shows and expected to perform for free. Many of the artists in my lineup were underground artists who weren’t getting compensated, along with other local curators who had never been paid for their work. I decided to change that. Another discrepancy I noticed is that many people have ideas for businesses, but they are either too scared to start alone or don’t have the resources to pursue their startup. Read more>>

A new client came to me for headshots. She was growing her new business as a bookkeeper and understood that having a professional headshot was important to her online presence. Not only did she love her headshots, but she found a variety of creative ways to use them on social media. It didn’t take long for her to realize that she was limited by only having headshots, so she approached me about doing a brand photoshoot. We spent a few weeks discussing all the ways she would like to use her new images, planning outfits, and organizing props. We spent about four hours capturing her, her personality, and different aspects of her job. Not only did she love the experience and the images we created together, but she came back three different times to purchase more images from her gallery! Read more>>

I have had many clients come to me with a similar problem. Parents are not pleased with school photos and are looking for a more personalized experience. School pictures are taken with a rush—five minutes per student, no time to check if their shirts were crooked or if their eyes were open. When parents hire me I have children jump, laugh, and play, all while capturing their genuine expressions. The result was stunning. Instead of lifeless, posed photos, parents have portraits that radiate joy. Their personalities are captured perfectly, from mischievous grins to carefree laughter. The is family thrilled with the results. Sometimes, it takes stepping outside the usual to create memories that truly reflect who you are. Read more>>
