I was performing in a show at House of Blues New Orleans and the emcee was wearing a bright red suit and tie. I felt like his outfit was missing a finishing touch of sparkle, so I offered to rhinestone his tie. After years as a stage performer and making dozens of my own costumes, I’ve acquired a substantial collection of top quality crystal rhinestones. He loved the tie, it looked fantastic on stage, and I felt really proud of my work. It was over a year later when I was staring at my Caboodle (yes, a real Caboodle) of rhinestones, when I decided to make a few rhinestone ties and bring them to sell at a show, just to see if there was more interest. After selling a few, I decided to make more and list them on Etsy. So far the response has been great! People have been ordering custom ties to wear in their own shows, give as gifts, raffle in fundraisers, for corporate events, high school band concerts, sporting events, and school events, weddings, and more. I’m now making neckties, bowties, bowties for pets, gloves, hair scrunchies, bags, and other apparel. And the rhinestones I use aren’t the inexpensive plastic stones you see in craft stores. I only use the highest quality crystal stones available, so my products have more sparkle than most of what you see out there. Table For One: Self Discovery Workbook
Table for One is a guided journal that focuses on self discovery through the idea of solo dating. The structure of the journal follows the three stages of a relationship concept- Courting, Conflict, Commitment. Each section has journal prompts and exercises that align with the respective stage. I started creating Table for One during a time I was deeply searching for a way to cope with feelings of lonliness. In full transparency, I grew exhuasted of hearing “just enjoy your single season” and “just focus on yourself” As time went on I understood there was some truth in these statments and I realized that I had not take advantage of my solitude to it’s full potential. During this period, I was committed to honouring my space in solitude, really becoming one with the suffering that took up space in the body. For me, this looked like loss, grief, mourning, and trauma — mostly sexual and family trauma. It started in Colorado 2009 where we started learning about frequencies and their ancient healing properties. We started working with a doctor who rented space at our Wellness Center. She was studying in Germany with a biofeedback machine determining what was out of balance in your body and sending the frequencies to heal back through the body.She also introduced us to the Rife machine which is audio frequencies, We started training to become Sound Therapists and taking courses from Jonathon Goldman and others in the field.In 2011 I was asked to be in a movie called The Keeper of the Keys where I was highlighting our water program called Aqua Motion, which is bodywork in the water. She starting training us how to put frequencies in the water via a small battery powered amplifier and underwater speakers which we began playing with the device she sent home with us. It was amazing and changed our life forever. John My partner who is a musician, composer, artist, and builder starting researching everything he could find about how to make music for Aqua Motion since it was out of the question to buy it. Being a channel for original music he started developing a technique to add the frequencies for specific conditions.Our first album was for sleep and everyone who tried it felt deeper sleep for longer periods of time. So he went on to compose many albums as people requested them. The results were amazing! After being throughout Colorado’s Hot Springs and hotels, we were commissioned to build a sound waterbed for a healing center in West Palm Beach, Florida. So we starting exploring areas to live and chose Delray Beach. it was difficult to leave our families and step out, but it was exactly what we needed to do.for expansion of our business. She bought him a plush moose as a gag gift and they’d pose him around the house doing different things and post on Facebook. Several people told us we needed to do something with the idea so, out of the blue, we came up with the idea for a plush Marvelous Moosey. We gave him blue hooves to remind children, and adults, it’s OK to look different. So what if you have freckles, wear glasses, have autism or a different skin color? Those traits are what make each of us unique and marvelous individuals. We wrote the children’s book to tell his story and created his Moosecase® as an interactive package that looks like an old-time suitcase with games inside.
