We all have a time in our lives in which we need to reinvent ourselves. The pandemic was one of those times. Being the founder of Holistic Bodytalk clinic I had to figure out a way to move forward when the pandemic closed my business. I have always loved teaching and sharing valuable information so I decided to open different channels and media platforms and become more visible. I dedicated several months to produce valuable content to help individuals with stress and anxiety. Read more>>

I got my first client from a Facebook Group! I saw where a bride had posted that she was in search of a coordinator after her first one was no longer available. She explained that she was on a tight budget and she was less than a month away from her wedding. I immediately commented that I was available (as I had a fully open calendar haha) and sent her a message on Facebook. She was so excited that I reached out, we discussed details and within an hour she paid her deposit and I booked my very first client. At the time I was on top of the world! Read more>>

I vividly remember when I started my career in real estate three years ago. The excitement of having a new career path and entering the world of real estate was exhilarating. However, at the same time, the challenge of starting with no SOI (sphere of influence), friends, and being new to the city was daunting. Read more>>

While my business is almost all online I went old school and began networking locally. I reached out to people I knew and offered free workshops at local real estate brokerages & co-working spaces and it was an amazing way to get my foot in the door & begin gaining people’s trust in my local community. Every single time I did one of these free in-person trainings and workshops I would leave with 3-4 clients. Read more>>

Social media has played a huge role in growing my clientele. About two years ago I got my first client from Facebook. I originally posted pictures of a set that I did on my friend, just for jokes. However, others saw the potential that I had. From there, I began posting more, looking for others to share my talents with. About two years later, my clientele has grown tremendously. Read more>>

After getting my law license, I started organizing community workshops in order to get my name out there and at the same time help the community with so much needed information on a topic so important and confusing such as immigration law. One of my first workshops was in a Catholic church in Jonesboro, GA and I met a nice family that had gone through something very traumatic and after talking to them they decided to hire me for an application for a U visa, which is a visa for victims of crime. I acquired my very first client thanks to social media. Prior to launching ICONI’s first collection, we shared a preview of what our first collection would look like and started to build a community on social media based on our motivational activewear. So we started connecting with potential customers before we even had a product to sell them and were already providing value to them with fitness tip and home workouts to do during the pandemic. A recently divorced woman who had not held a job in 25 years was my first customer. She entered the shop to buy makeup for her first interview the next day. She said she needed to buy clothes but was on a tight budget. She felt confident after we really found everything that day while remaining within our budget. But I was aware that the purpose was to project an inner confidence by creating a signature style using clothing and makeup. After the interview, she returned to let us know she had been given the position. Read more>>

How we got our first client is that I came across this site called bark. It’s a site for Business owners and people looking for business. After signing up, I started to get emails and text messages saying someone was looking for a caterer and the date and what it was for was in the email. I would then go on the Bark all that I downloaded and click on the clients name to get more information. In order for me to get the full information like phone number or email address or for me to even message them in regards to their catering needs I had to purchase credits. Read more>>

I got my first client for my drone company, Drone by Dro, through a connection at my job at the time, TGI Fridays. He was a friend of mine who happened to be starting out as a real estate agent. His first sale was his mother’s house, and he contacted me to do the aerial photography. It was only $60, but after years of brand building, content creation, and now finally being a licensed drone pilot, it felt amazing to be paid doing something I enjoyed. Read more>>
