Setting up my practice was a really fun process. I know most people don’t equate establishing their practice with fun, but I am a firm believer in having fun in everything you do. The main steps I took first were getting certified in my field of Epigenetics, founding my LLC, purchasing my domain and claiming my social media handles when I had named my company, and then all the behind the scenes marketing like branidng and website design. There were a lot of conversations with friends in business and my support system during that time which made the process feel really special. Read more>>

I decided to start my own law firm during “the great resignation” during the pandemic. Many people became disenchanted with conditions provided their employers and i was no different. I also think I have always danced to the beat of my own drum so to speak, so I was always meant to be my own boss. God provided conditions that made me uncomfortable with working for someone else so I decided to branch out on my own. Read more>>

I started in 2017 I began doing photography for local clubs which then stemmed off to me learning how to DJ do graphics and shooting music videos which me learning all of this what I would have done differently is honestly not too much but I would’ve maybe focus on one craft with 100% but either way, it’s not too much of a problem because I still hold each one of my talents at a very high professional level if I had to give advice to anyone that wants to do what I do or any other profession I would say, write up a plan from A-to-Z because once you write up that plan, Read more>>

It’s been a beautiful and demanding journey of starting my own business and private practice. The challenges mainly had to do with the fact that I had not had education or previous experience starting my own business. It was as though it was learn as you go. I had belief in myself and I learned along the way. I’m grateful to have had the mentors and colleagues that have supported me, answered my questions, and also believed in me. Read more>>

When I decided to start my own practice, I don’t really think I knew what all to expect. I had prepared to the best of my ability but soon found out that there was going to be a lot of on the job learning. I made sure to reach out to other owners I knew in the industry to get an idea on where to start. That at least started me in the right direction, but I had to decide what I was going to do with the information I had. Read more>>

I made the choice to spoke my own solo therapy practice in December of 2020 after months of being overworked throughout the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was pushed to work more hours, encouraged by an exploitative “incentivized structure” payment plan. The owners of the practice had no interest in my developing skills as a therapist or my mental and physical health. After talking it over with my partner, and a few other trusted loved ones, Read more>>

I became a nurse in 2008 and have been lucky enough to work in all sorts of settings from nursing homes to hospitals, to small practices, and urgent care clinics. Seeing the care that patients received in traditional settings where 3rd parties tended to play a factor in the type of time and solutions providers could provide really concerned me. I wanted to create a practice that put the patient first and was preventative instead of reactive. Read more>>

I remember sitting at home watching tv and telling my friends “I think I’m going to start my own business.” Of course all my friends where supportive but I’m not sure they realized how serious I was. I would make jokes like “ I’m gong to be a top celebrity therapist traveling the world and meeting new people.” Though we laughed it out that was truly a manifestation for me. Read more>>

I was unsure if I ever wanted to run my own practice. I have 2 young children and I know that it would entail a lot. I decided to go for it as I wanted to help people my way and not have to worry about following procedures that I did not always agree with. I also meet clients in their homes or other spaces that they choose (coffee shops, parks etc…) because this is where they seemed most comfortable and it was easier for them to open up. Read more>>
