What even is a “regular” job? Semantics aside, the heart of our question is about those moments when the stress of entrepreneurship is mounting – do you ever sit back and wonder what if you had just been working for someone else, what life would have been like without all the stress?

I often consider how different my life might be had I chosen another path. It is the small moments—such as revealing my clients’ natural beauty or stepping onto a dynamic film set—that reaffirm my passion for this profession. I am grateful every day for a career that enables me to express my creativity and achieve profound fulfillment. I appreciate the freedom that comes with my work; each day offers the chance to be on a different set and meet new people. This ever-evolving nature makes every day unpredictable and adds excitement to my profession. Through my work, I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredibly creative individuals, some of whom have become my closest friends. Yes, I am actually very happy, even with the challenges. I’ve been a business owner—somewhat by accident—for about a decade now. Looking back, I’m often amazed at how I ended up here. I always knew I was different; I was ambitious, driven, and determined to work efficiently, traits that made me feel out of place in many traditional jobs during my late teens and early twenties. I’d see areas where things could be improved or situations where their decisions didn’t seem well thought out. That disconnect just fueled my desire to lead my own way and set a higher standard. I am so much happier being a business owner and working for myself. As someone in the helping profession, it is so much easier to set boundaries and make sure that I am getting what I need to ensure my career is sustainable long term. I worked in agencies for years and loved it for a lot of reasons, but burnout is so real within my profession, especially during Covid and its aftermath. For me, working a regular job no longer made sense as it was draining me of my energy, time with family and my dogs, and joy. I can’t imagine ever working a “regular job” again. Read more>>

Becoming a business owner is the best thing I could have done for myself. After working at regular jobs all my life, I never found satisfaction in what I did. Finding out about the new Infrared Technology concept in Europe really sparked a fantastic idea so I had to peruse it! Being around people every day and getting them familiar with this amazing concept has been one of my biggest successes in my business! I enjoy having good relationships with all of my clients and being able to talk to them as friends every time they come in for a session. I like to spread love and knowledge to everyone around me and also provide them with a business idea they can peruse for themselves with my help! Read more>>
