Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Moore.

Hi Thomas, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?

Db apparel started back in 2021. Db stands for dirty boyz. My son and I are avid ATV riders and we have been ridding for over 17 years and there is nothing better than hitting the trails and getting dirty. Letting loose from the day to day hassles and enjoying life and time with family and friends. We would always come home covered in dirt from head to toe and my wife would always say here come the dirty boyz!!!! The name has been around since my son was 10 and he is now 20 but back in 2021 I decided to have some shirts made that said our name with an atv logo on it. Once the shirts were made i began to get compliments on the name and the design. People would ask where they could get one, so that gave me the idea of starting my own company making shirts. I looked into what would be needed as far as materials and equipment and decided to give it a shot. It took some time to learn, but the more I learned the more I got into it and continued full steam ahead.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

It has not been a smooth road as there is a lot to learn about the t-shirt bussiness. It’s not just grab some vinyl and a heat press and there you go. I had to learn about heat presses, all types of vinyl, cutting machines, computer software, blank clothing manufacturers, packaging, shipping and the list goes on. Even thou it may seem like a lot it really wasn’t. It was just about doing the proper research, reaching out and talking to other people who do the same thing and getting direction. Speaking with different manufacturer’s to find out what they offer and how to establish and account with them. I have ruined a lot of clothing while learning the business but it is the only way you will learn. Practice makes perfect.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

I am in the construction field by day. I deal with all new construction homes. I over see the job as it is going on to ensure that everything is going according to plan. I love what I do and have been in the construction field for over 30yrs. I am known for off roading and being that down to earth guy that gets along with everyone and just loves to enjoy life. I am just a creative person who try’s to make the best of everything. I love making shirts and hoodies and being creative with different designs. I have always been into arts and crafts and that is also why i love doing what I do. If you love what you do it doesn’t come across as work.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?

Instagram has been my go to app. I search thru it from time to time to see what is new and if any new products have come out to the market. I am always searching the web and investigating on new products and new designs that may be available and what new connections I could possibly make.
