We love grabbing drinks with our entrepreneur friends because they always have the craziest stories. Sometimes it’s a big, unexpected win. Other times it’s a problem that came out of nowhere and couldn’t possibly have been foreseen. There is so much to learn from these stories and so we asked some of the brightest entrepreneurs and creatives in the community to share some of those stories below.

I live in a small town in the Midwest. There is a post office, one bar and stoplight that isn’t really a real stoplight (it’s) the crosswalk stoplight by the high school. The whole town is less than a mile in diameter. Many of the clients in healthcare and human services that I work with are also in rural areas. This summer I drove to a remote part of South Dakota to a town of around 500 people. Read more>>

This really isn’t a crazy story. It’s a story of how professional organizing helped a client during a very difficult time in her life. The photo, taken by an official organization, quickly made its way to Instagram, and when I saw it, I was in complete shock. Read more>>

I had a customer from California take interest in my candles and wax melts. She had put in a big order in which I was eternally grateful for. I made everything up, packed it and shipped it out in a timely manner. Once the customer got the package, she had informed me that half her candle order was missing and showed me the package as it had arrived which had looked as if it was torn open then repackaged again. So a crazy story for which I think really pushed me to try things out and learn what I can cause “you never know what can happen” was years ago I was taking more time to learn how to do editing and digital art. I took photos of my own, friends and family, and did what is now I believed was called Topaz filter, which gave a stylized based look almost blocky or pallet knife brushed work (which usually is a flat triangle shaped knife either metal or plastic not really used for cutting anything, but splitting up paint).
