Today we’d like to introduce you to Candy Hoehn
Hi Candy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have a loving husband, two beautiful boys, and a baby girl. They fill my life with love and joy and my passion for photography arose because of them. While researching wedding photography, I was so enthralled by the images online and so captivated by the emotions in them that I decided to invest in my first Canon 40D. After my son was born, my love of photography grew as I was able to capture his moments growing up. Looking back on those pictures, it brings me such joy as memories of him when he was a baby came flooding back.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth. When I first started, I was afraid to charge my worth so I was working every day, all day into the wee hours of the night and then having to repeat that all over again. I was getting so burnt out and tired I thought I would quit. But, I found that the more I charged, the less I worked, and it gave me tons of time to network, market and attract clients who valued me, and to my surprise, I started to make a lot more!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Beauty, Branding, Headshot, Maternity & Boudoir Photographer. I specialize in photographing women of all ages, all different stages in their lives. What sets me apart is the fact that I supply wardrobe to my clients, and I know how to pose women. I’ve been doing this for over 11 years and after doing this for so many years, I know what poses work for every body type.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I feel like being creative is so important to the success of any artist. If you can’t constantly change with the times and incorporate new ideas, you will not be successful.
