Owning a business is challenging – from increasing costs, regulations, competition and more the day to day of being a business owner if often far from glamorous. However, the reason so many of us do what we do is the moments when we are able to come through in a big way for our clients. The moments when we know we’ve made a real difference. Every entrepreneur we know wants to increase the frequency of those moments and so we think one of the best ways to do that is by having people share their stories with others – we can all learn from each other and become better recognizing and executing on opportunities to help our clients win.

Our company, DUSK Digital, has recently had the privilege of working with a family-owned roofing company named Modern Exterior. Modern Exterior is owned by a nice young man named Tyler. Tyler needed some guidance on Search Engine Optimization. He is capable and wanted to learn more about SEO, so in the future, he could get his website to rank well on Google. Read more>>

One of our favorite success stories happened with The Great Wolf Lodge. The Great Wolf Lodge came to Poppin’ Love looking for custom amenities for their large group guests. They used to put together their own boxed amenities for guests which were not only a very time consuming process for their employees to put together, but were also not custom. They wanted something fun that would pair their characters with our popcorn flavors. We worked with their marketing department, who came up with some fun popcorn flavor names, that we used to create custom labels for the packaging as well as creating some new popcorn flavors for them. When I first started my own freelance design company back in 2019, I only had one client. However, this client told others about me, and it was like a domino effect. Fast-forward to now, and some tour visuals I made for some major DJs just played on screen at Coachella. Read more>>

One of the biggest stories of success came out of a friendship from college. I met Kristin while in our undergraduate program. We were studying communication sciences and disorders and I was doing photography as a hobby. She had seen some of my work and trusted me so much that she asked me to shoot her wedding even though I had no prior experience lead shooting a wedding. Read more>>

Prior to working with me, one of my clients was struggling with her mental health. At that time, she was feeling depressed, and frustrated with life and the individuals in it. She’d even had thoughts of suicide and wanted everything to end. And, unfortunately, she never took her mental health seriously because of her fear of being judged, which allowed her negative thoughts and emotions to consume her life. My client was hiding the woman, the mother, and the wife that I was capable of becoming. Read more>>

It’s always the orders that help remind you of why you’re doing what you’re doing. I had a customer who ordered a custom cake for her mom. Well last minute, the daughter wasn’t able to attend the birthday but still wanted the cake delivered to help celebrate. Read more>>

My client called me after joining my online masterclass. She was in her early 50’s and lost her zest for life. Old traumas from her childhood and past marriage kept resurfacing and she could no longer focus on what she loved most – teaching art. She had put her career on hold because of depression. Recently I was asked to be part of a very unique type of photoshoot. My specialty falls under weddings & events but I can pretty much photograph almost everything. You name it, I got it. After conducting a phone consult with a client, I was informed that the client’s husband has never taken any pictures of himself with his mother. His mother had travelled from South East Asia and would only have less than a week left in the US visiting family. The next thing my client informed me of was that her husbands mother was blind, didn’t speak English, and was handicapped. My goal with anyone is to provide images that can tell a story or speak volumes but most importantly provide an experience during the session. Read more>>
