Hi Odunayo , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
A beautiful Morning from this side of the world, and my greatest pleasure sharing how TRIPLE DAA CLOTHINGS started.
Triple DAA Clothings started 2014, I got married 2012 and had to relocate to Lagos state Nigeria to stay with my Husband, prior to my marriage I was born,bred and lived in Ibadan Oyo State capital. Relocating to another state came with a lot of pressure for me as a young lady and the only friend I had in Lagos was my husband, once he’s gone to work am alone and empty, I had the dream of working with a Telecommunications company, Globacom Nigeria to be precise and I worked hard to come out of the University with a 2.1 cos that was the grade they accepted then. I then continued my job hunt in lagos but it wasn’t yielding as I thought and I started getting frustrated 🙃 😅.
The Tailor who made my Husband’s cloth was very good in what he does, he was an illiterate but he knew his onions when it comes to making Men’s Designs so whenever we go to his shop I wonder how an illiterate who doesn’t know mathematics and English would pieces cloths and then bring it back into a beautiful edifice, hmmm CREATIVITY u would say, so I told my husband to allow me go and fulfil my curiosity as I am presently jobless and bored just sitting at home. That was how the journey began……..
I eventually started learning with him, i
spent just 2 months and had to leave due to some personal reasons, the love for sewing was already growing in my mind, my husband got my first sewing machine for me and I started practicing the little I could grab at home, later I decided to go back and re learn again this time with much passion and Zeal and the rest now is history.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I must say it hasn’t been a smooth road and at the same time the road hasn’t been that rough. Let me explain further.
It hasn’t been a smooth road because the road to success isn’t a smooth one, also as a woman venturing into a field that is domiciled by MEN I really had to fight my way to get noticed and recognised in the industry, I achieved this by creating a Niche for myself which is mainly African inspired Designs, I don’t do Suits and the likes so i can be the best in what I do remember Jack of all trade is a master of non..
I also had the passion, zeal and love for what I do so when the pressure comes the love I have always make me overcome all the hurdles.
Part of the struggle I also had is jogging work and motherhood, I am blessed with 3 soldiers and my work too is very demanding though I could choose my work schedule myself but then caring for small children isn’t an easy one but with the help of my husband and my Inlaw I was able to overcome that as they both gave me a helping hands when am overwhelmed and need to upgrade and work clockwise non stop.

Triple DAA Clothings Lagos Nigeria is a Fashion brand whose main focus is to beautify MEN effortlessly and with ease without breaking bank.We take the stress off your face by sourcing for fabrics, getting your measurements online and doing doorstep deliveries to you anywhere you are in the world.
I am a woman who specialises in making clothes/ beautifying men.
I am known for creating beautifying piece of outstanding Afrocentric designs like Kaftan, Agbada, Dansiki and the rest.
I am know for my creativity, uniqueness, my timely delivery, my availability and my patience when it comes to interacting with my clients
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I would say I love my city cos it comprises of different people from different countries, colors and races, this makes it admirable and beautiful
