Working in the “helper” field, I have really struggled with valuing myself and my work. I have been in this field since being 19 years old. The biggest mission I have is having people feel less stressed coming home from a long day’s work. Read more>>

PANIC SURPREME! I designed and produced an oversized storybook type brochure for an agency whose client was Occidental Chemical Co. The brochure was an environmental effort on the reclaiming of the land from the excavation of mineral resources. This effort was before environmental issues became news worthy. Read more>>

As the owner of Michael Sullberg Family Wines, I’ve had my fair share of exhilarating highs and challenging lows, but not many things compares to the deep satisfaction that come with unexpected exposure to the world. One of the craziest experiences that stands out involved several magical moments where our wines were featured in pop culture, and it always feels surreal. Read more>>

Soooo while battling the flu, I boarded a flight from Los Angeles to New York, tasked with styling a prominent TV personality for Fashion Week and a series of press interviews. The pressure was immense, especially with VH1 emphasizing the importance of delivering standout looks that would capture media attention and elevate their brand. Despite my physical discomfort, the adrenaline of Fashion Week and the opportunity to influence trends kept me motivated. Read more>>

My very first commission was a large, abstract diptych. My clients were a young, professional couple. Other than the preferred color pallet, they gave me the freedom to create what I felt they might like. After about 3 weeks I emailed them to let them know I was close to finishing. The husband emailed me back and said they were very excited to see what I created. He asked if I could possible send a couple of pics so they could have an idea of what to expect. I sent him the pics and heard back within a few minutes. He said that he loved it! He said that his wife was out of town on a business trip but he was going to forward the pics to her and get back with me the next morning. Read more>>

I did good in sales my first year that I was doing business and I was surprised with how well things were going. I ended up hitting a slow month shortly after passing my one year mark. I remember I was sitting on my bed and I got a message about making a custom sign for a business. It was like a 3.5×5 foot sign. It was huge. And I was like, “wow this is my biggest order ever. This is amazing!” I was so excited to have got such a huge order. That wasn’t where it stopped though. It kept going. In a span of less than 10 minutes I had gotten that order and like 10 more custom orders for a bunch of different things. It was insane. I was so shocked and honestly weirded out because it was just crazy! That was the first moment I had where I was like “I made it.” Read more>>

The way my poetry career began is a testimony to how god does things In mysterious ways. One day at work a co worker invited me to the world famous Nuyorican cafe that was having a poetry slam. I decided to go last minute and upon getting there was told that it was $20 to enter but free if you were performing. So to get in free ( yes to get in free lol ) is the reason why I signed the list. I had never recited poetry before, but I did write hip hop music so I figured hip hop is poetry to a beat so I’ll just recite my songs accappella. When they called my name I was so nervous and thought I was going to look like a fool but I took a deep breath, recited my verses and I won first place. So began the birth of “Edgar Allen Poe with a hip hop flow” and I have gone on to release books, won awards, and I am a 5 time slam champion. Read more>>

Miranda Lambert contacted me after sending product to her store to sell. We decided to cold send product to Miranda Lamber’s store in Tishomingo, OK, several years ago when she first opened it. We packed it up, sent a small note about who we were, and told her we thought the items would do well for her in her new venture. After a few weeks, she called me on the phone and wanted to place an order because they had sold out. I was so shocked that she called! It was a surreal event that we laugh about to this day- The call came in from a blocked number. I answered it, and she said, “Hey! This is Miranda. I want to place an order for more earrings.” I stupidly said, Miranda Lambert?!?! She said, “Uh-Huh”. I said, “Oh yes, of course.” Like it is normal for us to talk to celebrities every day. As an entrepreneur, you are surprised most when things work out as you plan! Read more>>

I remember it like it was yesterday , it was September 21st. 2023. At the time I was at a Airbnb in Arlington or Grand Prairie for the weekend because Beyoncé was on her Renaissance Tour & came to Dallas that weekend. After the concert we made our way back to the Airbnb & got ready to go out. When we got back to the house around 2-3am I got a call from my client. It threw me off & I thought to myself, what could he be calling me at this time for? Read more>>
