Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gisela Prishker. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Gisela, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success as a photographer, like success in any field, depends on a combination of factors, including skill, dedication, creativity, and business mind .
But I also think been a good sales person helps because as an artist we are so passionate about what we do , that we forget to lear how to charge and or value some photographer charge so little because they don’t know their value.
As a photographers I try to have a unique perspective and a creative vision that sets me apart.
I am not only there to take your picture , I want to make you feel and look great that is priceless for me.
I want to give an experience and have fun .

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m deeply passionate about capturing the world through the lens of my camera. Photography isn’t just a career; it’s a lifelong love affair that ignited when I first picked up a camera as a child. However, it wasn’t until I was 14 years old, in high school, when I stepped into a darkroom, that I realized I would pursue this passion until my last breath.
Through the years, this burning enthusiasm has transformed into a thriving photography business, and I’m thrilled to invite you to join me on this remarkable journey.
My venture into the world of photography commenced with a fascination for the profound way images can narrate stories, evoke emotions, and crystallize moments in time. I honed my skills through formal photography education and devoted countless hours to experimentation.
Early on, I discovered my genuine calling lay in capturing the natural world’s beauty and the genuine moments of life. My adoration for fashion photography matches my love for fashion, which is why I enjoy dressing up my clients to enhance their experience.
My ultimate goal is to provide people with an unforgettable experience, and nothing delights me more than witnessing the joy on their faces when they see the final results.
What distinguishes me is my unwavering commitment to delivering more than just photographs; I strive to create authentic, emotive experiences. I firmly believe that every photograph should narrate a story and elicit feelings. I work closely with my clients to comprehend their vision, ensuring that each image I capture reflects their personality and encapsulates the essence of the moment.
Moreover, I take immense pride in the person I have evolved into, not just as a photographer but as a woman. This sense of self and my passion for photography meld seamlessly, driving me to create exceptional visual narratives that resonate deeply with my clients and myself.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I have had the privilege of working with numerous magazines throughout my career. Many of my clients initially reached out to me with a desire to capture the same stunning and glamorous looks as the cover models they admired. However, what began as a professional relationship soon blossomed into genuine friendships. Over time, these wonderful clients began to hire me repeatedly for their photography needs.
I was lucky I hardly had to do any advertising .
but I do a lot of networking but lately I only do 4 photoshoots a month or less because I am also involved in a 2nd business that I love and i am super passionate about it .
It all started at volunteer , then part time to make my studio survive trough Plandemia , then I became a manager now a in a higher position that I will never leave .
now I have 2 passions one is creative ,the other one I help people .

Have you ever had to pivot?
Early in my photography career, I primarily focused on portrait and fashion photography. I had established a niche in this area and built a strong clientele who loved my work. Everything was going well, and I felt comfortable in my chosen path.
However, one day, a life-altering event occurred Plandemia came and I think every business changed an all of us changed something right .
Rather than giving up on photography altogether, I decided to pivot my career in a new direction. I began exploring other opportunities and so glad I did.
