We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tianna Curatalo. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tianna below.
Tianna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Everyone has their own measure of success. Whether it be income, the car they drive, etc…
For me, to be successful means to make my clients happy. The ultimate reward of delivering a final project is hearing the words of content from them. It truly brings me joy to help my clients elevate their brands to new levels. I am a people pleaser by nature and I aim to please EVERY TIME.

Tianna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have worked for creative agencies in San Diego over the years and when I got pregnant with twins it forced me to create a business from home. We could not afford someone else to take care of two babies… it just made sense for me to try and freelance and juggle it ALL.
Fast forward 5+ years and three kids later… it was the best decision I have ever made. Since then, I have created and grown a digital agency that has helped hundreds of businesses build their brands and a digital footprint with amazing websites.
Most of my business comes from referrals and I get A LOT of them! Retaining a relationship with my clients over the years, helping them grow and evolve has been a rewarding experience for me. I love being a part of something successful and cheering on those people.
Once you work with me I’ll always be with you on your journey to success.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
This was initially a freelance side hustle I had while taking care of my newborn twins. Over the years I have created a digital agency where I contract other creatives to help with projects, have a business developer and more.
The best thing I ever did to scale my agency was delegate work. I CAN’T do it all myself. Which is why I have a team of creatives on stand-by waiting for projects to be assigned and executed.
I have a biz dev guy… I don’t have a lot of time to “sell” or nurture the clients as much as I would like. So I brought on someone that can help our clients through the sale/project management process from beginning to the end while I focused on the creative.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
For the past 6 years I have been a Wix (wix.com) partner and I am in the top 100 Wix partner in the company. I have over 80 5-star review on Wix and have been a top producer for them for years. When you’re a Wix partner this means Wix sends you relevant referrals daily. It’s up to me to connect and nurture these referrals and it has been the most amazing thing for my business. I literally NEVER pay for clients. It’s either referrals from past clients or referrals directly from Wix.
