Amanda, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

I first knew I wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path the moment I laid eyes on the vibrant world of cartoons on Nickelodeon and Disney. A spark ignited within me when I was 8 years old, but I knew deep down that my destiny was intertwined with the realm of creativity and artistry. Those animated characters and their captivating stories became my muse, fueling my passion and setting me on a path towards a future where I would proudly collaborate with the very companies that had enchanted my imagination.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Allow me to introduce myself to those who may not be familiar with my journey. My creative path began unexpectedly at Trader Joe’s, where I discovered my knack for designing captivating chalkboards. Although I briefly explored the world of makeup artistry, working with renowned brands like Mac and Makeup Forever, I never quite felt like myself until I made the bold decision to fully immerse myself in the world of art.

Embarking on this new chapter was challenging, as I struggled to find opportunities. However, fate led me to answer a Craigslist ad that opened doors to incredible experiences. I found myself creating mesmerizing chalk art for esteemed companies such as Google, YouTube, Nickelodeon, RedBull, Warner Brothers, and many more. Each month, I was invited into these organizations, which not only boosted my confidence but also allowed me to witness the impact of my work firsthand.

What sets me apart is my unwavering dedication to tailoring each chalk image to perfectly align with the essence of the company. I invest time in researching the latest happenings within the organization before even picking up a piece of chalk. This attention to detail ensures that my creations seamlessly blend with the company’s identity, leaving a lasting impression on both clients and their audience.

Currently, I am most proud of the opportunity to work with Nickelodeon. However, my sights are set on the next milestone: collaborating with Disney. My ultimate goal is to bring my artistic vision to the magical world of Disney, creating enchanting murals that capture the hearts of all who encounter them.

To potential clients, followers, and fans, I want you to know that my work is a reflection of my passion and commitment to delivering exceptional artistry. I strive to go beyond expectations, infusing each project with a touch of magic and a personalized touch. Whether it’s through chalk art or muraling, I am dedicated to solving the creative needs of my clients and leaving a lasting impression that resonates with their brand and audience.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the ability to touch people’s lives and evoke deep emotions through my artistic gift. Despite never having taken a formal art class, I can paint almost anything. Art has a unique power to transport individuals, allowing them to relive cherished memories and experience a profound connection to the artwork.

One particular experience stands out as a testament to the rewarding nature of my craft. I was recently commissioned to create a Yellowstone mural for a couple who were avid pilots and had made annual trips to the park. Unfortunately, the wife developed dementia, making it impossible for them to continue their beloved tradition of visiting Yellowstone. In this mural, I meticulously captured every detail tied to their cherished memories, including the couple strolling down a path beside a geyser, holding a bag of skittles they used to feed a chipmunk.

The most fulfilling part of this project was witnessing the wife’s reaction when she recognized herself within the mural. Despite her condition, the artwork sparked a glimmer of recognition and brought back a flood of precious memories. It was a powerful reminder of the impact art can have on individuals, even in the face of adversity.

This ability to create art that resonates deeply with people and elicits such emotional responses is what truly makes being a creative so rewarding. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to touch lives, evoke emotions, and create lasting connections through my artistic expression.

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have emerged as an exciting and innovative development in the world of art and digital assets. They offer a positive and hopeful outlook for artists, creators, and collectors alike.

One of the most significant advantages of NFTs is the potential for artists to gain greater control and ownership over their work. By tokenizing their creations, artists can establish verifiable proof of authenticity and establish a direct relationship with their audience. This empowers artists to protect their intellectual property rights and receive fair compensation for their creations, even in the digital realm.

NFTs also provide a new avenue for artists to monetize their work. Through the sale of digital art, music, or other forms of creative expression as NFTs, artists can reach a global audience and connect with collectors who appreciate their unique style and vision. This opens up exciting opportunities for artists to generate income and sustain their creative careers in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
