Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Byron Morgan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Byron , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
First of all as an artist we are suppose to understand the importance of Branding yourself so when it comes down to it that’s where the idea began from. I really believe in brands sending a message that is relatable to all not just one audience so when we came up with the LSP model (Love, Success, Progress) it was to highlight those three words in life. You need to be able to show love to your people, you need to always strive for success and even if it’s a little you gotta progress everyday .
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I got into the industry just because I began creating music during COVID. I’ve always been writing poetry and had a passion for music and have been told my whole life that I have a voice good for radio so I finally decided to run with it. COVID gave people much more time to find other interest so I grabbed a laptop, a mic and an interface and got to work. As the music began to get more popular and grow I realized that I need to finally get this clothing brand going and put the LSP movement into motion.
How’d you meet your business partner?
It’s crazy but everyone that is a partner in the business are people I’ve been around a good majority of my life. Between hooping in high school and college or friends that turned family we all have been around each other in some since so it made this brand that we ALL have created so much easier to start. The best thing about it is that we can all hold each other accountable because we have that strong foundation and background to where there are no hard feelings just reality checks.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I’ve really built my audience thru the media because I create music. If you create good quality music but also at the same time promote your brand thru rather that’s thru the lyrics of the song or thru the visuals wearing the clothing it makes it all stand out and piece together. I believe the most popular name brands are just simply thru exposure and creating your own popularity behind it. If you can do that and get your consumers buy in then you will have loyal customers.
