We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kristie Jorfald. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kristie below.
Kristie, appreciate you joining us today. Has Covid resulted in any major changes to your business model?
Once the pandemic hit, I knew I had to change my business model around and it actually happened organically. Because the world was shifting so quickly from working in person to moving meetings, collaborations and classrooms all online, that meant I had to find a way to go virtual as well, but still find a way to make it feel very personalized and overall an incredible experience for my clients.
Hi! I’m Kristie Jorfald. I’m a trilingual, multi-cultural personal branding wardrobe stylist and founder of Kristie Jorfald Style. I style brilliant entrepreneurs, best-selling authors, motivational speakers, and VIP coaches to increase their visibility, influence, and profitability around their life’s mission. I empower my clients on how to shop for their body shape, discover their personal style, visually communicate their style brand to attract their target audience, and build self-confidence through wardrobe styling.
While I was super sensitive to the challenges people were facing, and noticed how quickly online shopping became an obsession for some people – I wanted to fill the void in the market and bring something unique and special to those that really needed this pampering experience in the comfort of their home and something to look forward to. Which is why I launched : Luxe Virtual Brand Experience – Direct-to-you styling wherever you are in the world.
This 6 week styling journey is available to you from the comfort of your own home. Think convenience (no crowded stores, overwhelming options, or wasting your time and resources) meets customized-just-for-you luxury styling.
Wardrobe editing and new looks are really on the beginning: this is styling as personal and powerful branding. Through multiple Zoom session– and with access to me on demand — we’ll design a sartorial strategy that perfectly represents and promotes who you are as a person and as a personal brand.
If you are…
> Embarking on a tour to launch your new book…
> Ready to market a new offering…
> Launch your website…
> Or maybe just ready to launch the NEW you…
This Is For You
Do you want to step confidently onstage or onto your various social media platforms?
I’m here to help envision this possibility & make it a reality.
During these weeks together, you’ll learn not only what silhouettes best suit your body but what aesthetic might best suit (and sell) your brand, whether that’s a new business endeavor or just the version of yourself you want to step into the spotlight (or upcoming event).
We’ll get down to the who, what, why, and how: who you want to be, what that looks like, why you’re making this change, & how we’ll get there.
Based on your vision and my expertise, you’ll conclude our styling sessions looking polished, feeling prioritized, empowered, and authentically you. You’ll also walk away with some very special surprise gifts and perks from me– you’ll be pampered from start to finish, even though we might might be miles apart…

Kristie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
“When you look good, you feel good. That energy is confident, grativating, and totally captivating. I teach my clients how to own that.”
Growing up in a multicultural household in Lake Forest, a tony suburb of Chicago, raised by my Colombian-Swiss mother and Norwegian-English father, I found early inspiration in language, global cuisines, and sartorial style from all over the world.
I developed a keen eye and love for fashion early: inspired by the hit movie Clueless, I formed a “Clueless Club” in my fourth-grade homeroom. Naturally, I played Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone’s now-iconic character), turning sleepovers into confidence building makeovers.
By the following year, my talents caught the eye of my classmates’ parents, who eagerly handed off credit cards to take my fellow fifth grader friends shopping… I remember plucking items from the J.Crew racks, selecting looks that perfectly matched each friends personality and made them feel more confident. Few people can say there were in-demand fashion stylists before even stepping foot in middle school!
“Invest in yourself first, then watch your life transform magically.”
While studying at the University of Colorado at Boulder (GO BUFFS), I aligned coveted internships at Hearst Corporation with both Teen Magazine, in Los Angeles, and CosmoGIRL! Magazine, in New York City. At the positions, I showed my merit, leading to opportunities not often granted to interns like creating T.V. Steal vs Splurge segments for KTLA and assisting on photoshoots for major music stars like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Beyonce.
“Style is about who you are as a person and how you want to be perceived.”
Called back to L.A. after graduation, I joined Seventh House PR, an industry-leading luxury fashion and lifestyle public relations firm, famous for its strong ties to the entertainment industry, fashion houses, and big-name national brands. Working as an intern in the company’s press department, I fostered relationships with top designers and a who’s who of the celebrity stylists and was soon assisting on photoshoots for Paper Magazine, styling celebrity like Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland, and Tony-and Academy Award-Nominated Actress Anna Kendrick.
My work grabbed the attention of the forces behind the two-time Emmy-nominated T.V. show: How Do I Look? starring the incomparable celebrity stylist Jeannie Mai. I was brought on as Assistant Wardrobe Stylist for the show’s 12th season.
I returned to Chicago in the fall of 2011 to focus on education, another deeply-held passion, earning a Masters of Arts in Teaching Degree from Columbia College. But I continued styling and educating through fashion while pursuing my degree, with styling commercial projects for Walmart, RSM, Purina. Working one-on-one with top anchors at CBS News and recreating dress code policies for the on-air team; styling beauty campaigns; and throwing events for socialites and selective shoppers at Burberry’s Flagship Chicago store through their Private Clients Department.
In 2016, I launched Kristie Jorfald Style — styling meeting personal branding, helping clients not only upgrade their closets but to put themselves, their messages and missions first. Following the launch of her boutique style coaching business: Ready, Set, Style & Launch! that offers anyone the opportunity to learn how to launch their own personal styling business or aspires to become a celebrity stylist.
Now based in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach, California, I focus my prodigious experience and finely tuned talent on styling intrepid female entrepreneurs, bestselling authors, motivational speakers, VIP coaches, and other influential women to increase their visibility, influence, and profitability around their life’s mission.
This is becoming the best, most radiant version of yourself: zeroing in on not just your own unique, personal style, but your mission and message, using visual communication to attract your target audience, because you are the brand!
